We LOVED having our wedding at Woodend! Beatriz was so helpful and answered all of our questions, as well as keeping us updated as the tent set up changed over this past year. The new tent is gorgeous and the whole venue is so gorgeous, including the grounds! We were happy to keep our decor minimal and let the mansion’s beauty shine, and we got so many compliments on the venue’s set up of having the dance space (Main Hall) separated from the dinner seating (tent). We also loved Woodend’s gorgeous property, which really shined for our late October wedding. Would fully recommend considering Woodend for your wedding - plenty of parking, beautiful space, great team, and your venue fee goes to a great charitable cause.

Pinch & Peck’s owner, Kerrie, is having tons of fun as a small business owner and is loving having her hands on every aspect of the business, especially learning as she grows.

Kerrie was truly such a delight to work with. She was genuinely excited about our wedding, and worked closely with us to create a uniquely designed set of cookies that were resonant with our vision. She also made the most delicious cupcakes for our reception- they were a real hit! Her clear care for her clients and her excellence in her craft make her someone I'll return to for baked goods for all my future events, truly. I recommend her wholeheartedly.

If you’re looking for a wedding photographer in the DC area, stop and boom James immediately! We really liked James from the first time we saw his portfolio online, and felt very confident after our first call with him that we had found the photographer we wanted to work with. He was really thoughtful in sending us sample galleries from weddings he had done that were in similar venues to ours. We could not have made a better choice! He was good at communicating and working out details prior to the wedding, even scouting out potential locations in case of rain in the forecast. On the day itself he was fantastic and provided just the right amount of direction to get good shots while putting everyone at ease. He also captured all the special candid moments and I still don’t know how he managed to get so many different angles and shots during the ceremony. We also absolutely loved the video slideshow he did with our speeches and the photos. We’ll always treasure the stunning photos we have from our wedding and couldn’t recommend James more highly!

Even though TDM wasn't able to photograph my wedding on such short notice, Kira spent hours searching for and interviewing local photographers on our behalf, eventually finding someone who was both a perfect match and well within our budget. Kira helped us edit and finalize our itinerary, organize which photographs we wanted taken, and even helped us pinpoint exactly what kind of editing style we wanted done - all things that I should've had sorted out with my previous photographer, but I was unaware of due to poor communication. When she stepped in, I felt like a huge weight had been lifted from my shoulders and I don't think I could've been happier with our wedding or our photographer. :) I 100% recommend Kira and TDM!

The barn venue was perfect for our smaller, more intimate wedding reception, providing a beautiful and rustic setting. Natasha worked with Bianca for our wedding this past October, and let me just say this up front to any bride/groom: you may THINK you are type A and can handle any and every small detail in your wedding. You may THINK "how many decisions could I possibly need help with if I already have all of my vendors selected and every event for the weekend is in the same place? EASY." Welp, let me tell you folks--it is decidedly *not*. We had our wedding at the Intercontinental on the Wharf: all 3 wedding events throughout the weekend. I hired Natasha as some decisions were becoming mildly overwhelming and her prices were *chefs kiss*. When I say she and Bianca saved the day MULTIPLE times during our weekend, I am not overstating. She made every vendor organizational correspondence and handled all last minute questions they had--it was the best decision I made about the wedding (minus the groom, he's #1 ;)). Do yourself a favor as the price is MORE than absolutely worth the help and bliss Natasha will deliver you--BOOK.HER.IMMEDIATELY. She also already has working relationships with numerous vendors and locations in the city, which was astoundingly helpful. Seriously. Just book her and truly enjoy your wedding planning process!

We had a 70's themed 50th birthday celebration for a friend and the Your's Truly team went above and beyond to make the memorable night special. The food by Chef Johanna was amazing. We loved the vibe of the hotel and staff. You can't go wrong with booking this place for your special event!

We picked Clyde’s because the location was close to my church, where we did the ceremony, and because it was one of the few venues in that radius that fit our budget. I picked Clyde’s for practical reasons and looking back I couldn’t have made a better choice. I always knew I wanted my wedding reception to be fun and relaxed and have plenty of good food and drinks for my guests. Clyde’s so fit the bill. First, the food is simple yet delicious. We already knew that from dining there, and the tasting confirmed it. We were able to make menu choices to please everyone. Second, our room was beautiful and uniquely decorated and that makes a fun atmosphere. It was large enough to fit all our guests and have room to dance (we had about 50 people, but could have fit more in the room.) finally, the service was exceptional - all our guests commented on how great the servers and bartenders were at their jobs. We felt so welcome. The event staff went above and beyond to work with me to decorate and set tables to my specifications. If you are considering Clyde’s, I highly recommend them. DC wedding venues are expensive and Clyde’s was one of the few places we could afford, but even if our budget was higher, I couldn’t imagine a better experience.
