Wedding cakes can range from $3–$15 per serving . Tiered cakes are more expensive than sheet cake styled cakes.

How should we cut our wedding cake?

Traditionally, you’d do a ceremonial cutting first, often holding hands on the knife. The caterer then takes the cake away and cuts it into slices to distribute to guests. If you’re slicing it up yourselves, take apart the tiers and cut them into small rectangles. Remember to wrap and freeze the top layer for your anniversary!

How should we transport our wedding cake?

Very carefully! Ideally, your cake will be delivered by your bakery, which should have plenty of experience transporting cakes. You can also purchase special boxes made to protect the tiers.

When should we order our wedding cake?

Set up tastings (the fun part!) around 7 months out. Once you’ve decided, place your order.

“Armana made our wedding cake for our elopement and I cannot say enough good things about the experience. I had so much trouble finding someone willing to make a cake for us because it was a very small elopement, only six people, and it was on a Monday. So many bakeries either never called me back or took weeks to respond. One bakery even quoted me 600 for a six-inch cake. Armana was the complete opposite. She responded, was kind and professional, charged a very reasonable price, and was happy to accommodate the flavor requests I had. Our situation was also a little complicated because our flight to Phoenix arrived the same morning we needed to pick up the cake, and we had to drive it to Sedona. We needed the cake to stay refrigerated for the trip, so I shipped Armana a cooler and ice packs ahead of time. When we arrived, she had everything perfectly packed and ready to go for us. She truly went above and beyond to make this work for us, and I’m so grateful. The cake was beautiful, delicious, and such a special part of our day. I would absolutely recommend Armana to anyone looking for someone talented, reliable, and genuinely helpful.”

We spent months trying to figure out how to make it happen without success when, miraculously, we stumbled upon Twin Treats on Zola. We reached out to Amy, who responded within hours. We were in Nashville for the weekend for wedding planning, and Amy threw together a tasting box for us with barely any notice. Every single dessert we sampled was scrumptious - it was difficult to choose only a handful for our wedding reception! From the very start she was helpful/attentive in creating my dream wedding cake. The cake was fully customizable with options for colors, flower types, tiers, etc, and the result was exactly what we had hoped for! Everyone at the wedding was talking about how beautiful it was and how detailed the flowers were. For flavors we opted for raspberry vanilla and it was delicious! I would definitely order a cake from this business again!”

“Going with The Naked Cupcake for our wedding day was a no-brainer. We compared several different places and none of them hit the mark like The Naked Cupcake did. To start, they offer the option of a virtual consultation for the tasting, which makes it super easy and convenient for busy people like my husband and I. You get to pick out 4 different combinations to taste for cupcakes, pick them up, and then schedule a virtual consultation that works for your schedule. After that, it was smooth sailing. I told Alison exactly what I was looking for and she delivered! She was so easy to talk to, flexible to get us what we wanted, and quick! Plus, she was very on top of things making sure our venue got their insurance, communicating with our wedding planner, etc. My husband and I were so happy we went with them.
