Igor Faris Weddings
Rating: 5.0 (2 reviews)
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $3,500
  • Serves Carpinteria, CA

Authentic documentary wedding photography for couples who value real emotions over perfect poses. Honest, timeless images with a film - inspired feel, capturing the quiet moments, genuine connections, and meaningful details that make your wedding day uniquely yours.

“We cannot say enough great things about Igor. Choosing a wedding photographer was one of the most important decisions for us, and he completely exceeded every expectation. From the very beginning, Igor was incredibly easy to work with. He was responsive, professional, and really took the time to understand what we wanted. On the wedding day, he brought such a calm and positive energy that made everything feel effortless. He guided us when needed but also captured so many natural, candid moments without us even realizing it. What truly sets Igor apart is his ability to tell a story through his photos. Every image feels intentional, emotional, and beautifully composed. Nothing feels forced or overly posed. Looking through our gallery felt like reliving the entire day all over again. We also got so many compliments from our guests about how great he was to work with. He made everyone feel comfortable in front of the camera, which really shows in the photos. If you are looking for a wedding photographer who is talented, professional, and genuinely cares about capturing your day in the most authentic way, we highly recommend Igor. Hiring him was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding.”

Brooklyn Kate Photo

  • Serves Carpinteria, CA

Hi, I'm Brooklyn — the photographer behind Brooklyn Kate Photo. I fell in love with wedding photography for the in between moments: the nervous laugh before the ceremony, the glance no one else catches. That's what I chase. I shoot on a mix of digital and film, giving my work a timeless, editorial feel over a trendy one. I recently moved my business to Chicago, though I still travel for destination weddings all over the world! Every wedding is different, and I love learning each couple's story first. My approach is relaxed and unobtrusive, so you can be present while I capture it all. If my style feels like a fit, I'd love to connect.

“From our first conversation, Brooklyn Kate Photo made it clear she understood what we wanted for our wedding day. She communicated every step of the process with ease and kept us on schedule when things got hectic, which we really appreciated. Brooklyn captured both the candid moments that unfolded naturally and the specific shots we had envisioned, delivering photos that felt meaningful and true to our story. Her documentary style of photography showed the real emotion and joy of the day without feeling forced or overly posed. What impressed us most was how she managed to capture our vision even better than we could imagine it ourselves. We can't recommend her highly enough to couples looking for a photographer who is organized, responsive, and genuinely talented at her craft.”

Grace Kathryn Photography

  • Fine art style
  • Starts at $3,000
  • Serves Carpinteria, CA

I'm a California native with a wanderlusting soul. I grew up in the snowy mountains of Lake Tahoe and spent my teenage years in the rainforests of Costa Rica before returning to the West Coast of the United States to study the art of wedding photography and earn my BFA with Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara, California.

Awarded Best of Zola
“Grace Kathryn Photography was an absolute delight to work with for our wedding. From our phone consult, her communication style was funny, laidback, and honest, which immediately put us at ease. The quality of her work was amazing - they captured all the fun and special moments of our day in a way that was both creative and helpful. She was incredibly flexible, accommodating our wedding only being a week away, and providing a quick turnaround on our photos so we could relive the day. If you have seen Friends, I am like Chandler when taking photos, but Grace made an easy process, haha. We would highly recommend Grace Kathryn Photography to any couple looking for a talented, personable photographer who will make your wedding day that much more enjoyable.”

Indigo West
Rating: 5.0 (38 reviews)

  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $2,900
  • Serves Carpinteria, CA

I took up photography at the ripe age of 11 with a Polaroid I borrowed from an aunt. It quickly became my sketchbook as I worked to capture stills of the world and people around me. Those images have continued to pay emotional dividends throughout my life, helping me better understand what I have now come to see through a new scope. They are grounding, melancholic, funny and beautiful. Some of my most cherished possessions.

Awarded Best of Zola
“Choosing Daniel from Indigo West as our wedding photographer was hands down one of the best decisions we made. From our first conversation, we loved his calm, thoughtful demeanor and his organic, artistic approach to capturing the day. His eye for composition and detail is exceptional and the photos truly tell a story. As a same-sex couple, we wanted someone who could move beyond traditional wedding clichés, capture the grandeur of our museum venue (complete with dinosaur skeletons) while making it feel intimate, and handle dark, dramatic spaces. Daniel did all of that and more. He captured the energy, emotion, laughter, and joy of the day beautifully. Daniel was efficient but never rushed. He was professional yet playful, and it felt like he immediately understood our dynamic as a couple and with our guests. We trusted his vision completely, and it absolutely shows in the photos. Most importantly, Daniel brought such a fun, relaxed energy—it never felt like he was just doing a job. We can’t recommend him enough.”

  • Starts at $6,000

With over a decade of experience in the wedding industry, I believe your wedding day deserves to be remembered as more than a collection of moments — it should feel like a rich story, with visceral emotions coursing through each scene. As a former wedding planner turned photographer, I document each chapter with an editorial eye and a genuine heart. My approach is guided by light and emotion, both intentional and effortless. Every image is composed with purpose, full of honesty and elegance, and alive with feeling. Your story is already extraordinary. My work ensures it’s remembered that way — beautifully, and forever.

Awarded Best of Zola
“Leslie was one of the preferred vendors for our wedding venue, Wedgewood Sterling Hills, and the minute I saw her online portfolio I knew I wanted her for our wedding. Now I have beautiful photos and she’s my friend for life, so it was a win-win for me. She was extremely thorough, asking important questions about myself and my husband, to ensure that she understood US as people. I felt heard and listened to every step of the way. I remember very early in our first call I mentioned that my husband makes me ALWAYS makes me laugh with small quick quiet quips. My favorite picture from our wedding is a stolen moment from our photo hour where we’re taking a break and he’s making me laugh. I love that picture. Lastly, DO THE ENGAGEMENT SESSION. Our engagement session was SO fun. Leslie gives incredible direction, she taught us how to pose, and made us feel very supported and comfortable prior to our wedding. If I saw someone else with my engagement photos I’d be so envious of how effortless they seem (so I’m glad they’re mine).”

“I came across Sarah’s Instagram page as my now husband and I were looking for a photographer for our Santa Barbara elopement. Went thru her Instagram and decided to contact her, after speaking with her we knew Sarah was the one. She was very professional and took her time answering all our questions and explaining everything to us. The day of our elopement Sarah arrived on time and starting photographing making sure to capture every special moment. Sarah also speaks Spanish which made it a lot easier for some our guests. She truly made all of us feel comfortable. Also, Sarah made suggestions of places where we could get beautiful photos and without a doubt those turned out to be some of our favorites. The day after our elopement we were surprised with a sneek peek and within a week we received all our beautiful photos. Sarah is truly amazing! We will highly recommend her to anyone looking for a fun photographer and amazing photos!”

“Leah helped make our wedding the best day of our life. From the beginning, Leah was easy to work with, she listened closely to what we envisioned for our wedding and was able to provide us with creative ideas when we needed some help or felt overwhelmed. Leah's photography skills were superb and she provided us with so many beautiful pictures of us, our friends, venues, and so much more. Her turnaround time on getting us the photos was so quick too! Not only did she provide great photos, but she assisted as our "day-of-coordinator." Leah eased our fears so many times leading up to the wedding, she was easy to get a hold of or would reach out to us to make sure our wedding was coming together, and helped us communicate with some our other vendors when we needed an extra hand. Leah was the MVP of our wedding! You NEED her to be your photographer and she is worth every penny to be your day-of-coordinator too. We will be using Leah again for family photos!”

“Working with Moments by Frank was such a great experience from start to finish. Frank is incredibly personable and made us feel like we were catching up with a friend rather than working with a vendor, which put us at ease on our wedding day. He and his team knew exactly how to direct us for poses and worked with impressive efficiency and creativity throughout the entire event. Our bridal party couldn't stop raving about how easy Frank and the team were to work with. Communication was solid, though fair warning that Frank stays busy so you may need to follow up occasionally, but his work ethic is clearly why he's in such high demand. Our sneak peaks are stunning, and we can't wait to see our full final gallery!”

The preview photos we’ve received so far are absolutely stunning, and I couldn’t be happier with her work. I’m beyond excited to see the full gallery. What impressed me even more was how gracefully they adapted to the day’s hiccups. I’m a Santa Barbara–based photographer documenting weddings, elopements, and proposals along the coast and beyond. My approach is simple: capture the day as it actually felt. Clients often tell me how comfortable and at ease they felt being photographed, which allows moments to unfold naturally rather than feeling staged. My work leans true to color and natural in tone, with a focus on light, composition, and the in-between moments that often end up meaning the most.

“From our first conversation, Studio Bibb's team was easy to work with and got back to us quickly whenever we had questions. Olivia went above and beyond by meeting us at our venue the day before the wedding to map out the best spots and understand our vision. On the big day, she captured intimate moments between my husband and me, while her second shooter got stunning photos of our families coming together. The photos are absolutely breathtaking and worth every penny—we were blown away by the quality and attention to detail. Olivia's persistence in getting everything just right meant we have images we'll treasure forever. We'd recommend Studio Bibb to any couple looking for photographers who truly care about their story.”

Jenna even got me to do a boudoir shoot the night before the wedding, which I would NOT have done with anyone else. She makes you feel comfortable in front of the camera and the mood she evokes in her photos say more than words ever could. Jenna is one of the best people I know and having her by my side on the day of my wedding was paramount in calming my anxiety and making sure the day went smoothly. My passion for photography was built on nostalgia. From a young age, I loved opening of the old holiday popcorn tins full of generations of family photos that my mom kept in the hallway closet. It felt magical to pull out old memories and hear my mom recall the story behind a photo. Now, I love to capture these special memories for my clients to pass down to the next generation. My job is to encourage and direct you so you feel comfortable and confident while taking photos, capturing each unique story in a creative and authentic way. I do this by creating a space for us to truly get to know each other and be ourselves.

“If you are reading this review in search of a wedding photographer, you can stop the search now, because Augusta is who you want! Augusta is so talented, so easy to connect with, and takes the time to truly understand what you and your partner are hoping to capture. On our actual wedding day, there were many times we were running behind schedule, and Augusta quickly adapted and still managed to capture more than we ever hoped for, or expected. More than that, I'm not sure how many weddings Augusta has worked, but she makes you feel like the most important and special person, is so attentive, has such a calming yet commanding presence (exactly what you need, but didn't know you needed until the day is actually unfolding), and makes you feel like you've been lifelong friends. She's extremely professional, great with communication, and if I had 15 weddings, I'd want her for all 15 of them.”

(i-love-film) I really do. There is something about the tactile quality, the vibrant color, the absence of color, the patience required, the craft. Something about how it pauses each moment for just one more second in the best way possible. It’s why I let film influence the way I shoot, how I approach each wedding day, and capture each moment despite how much easier it would be to only shoot digital. My hope is that all this effort and care and passion and sentimental value translates into something so much more than a photo on a screen. That you remember the way you felt, the laughs, the tears, and all the in-between moments.

“Jack was so nice to work with! He was super friendly and gave really helpful directions. The photos turned out great and I especially loved the film photos he took. I would definitely book a shoot with him again for something.”
