I'm a California native with a wanderlusting soul. I grew up in the snowy mountains of Lake Tahoe and spent my teenage years in the rainforests of Costa Rica before returning to the West Coast of the United States to study the art of wedding photography and earn my BFA with Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara, California.
I specialize in capturing outdoor weddings, destination weddings, adventure couples, and elopements. Natural light, real moments, and emotions are my constant inspiration. My engagement and portrait shoots are laid back, relaxed, and true to you and your personalities. I have been shooting weddings for over a decade, and feel lucky and grateful to be able to do what I love and live a life full of creativity and passion. Let's shoot!

Best Photographer We Could Have Ever Asked For
I could not recommend Grace Kathryn enough!! She was truly a godsend on our big day. I know deciding on a photographer can be one of the more stressful parts of wedding planning but when we happened upon Grace Kathyrn’s work on Zola we knew she was perfect! She fit our budget and all her work was so worth it. She was extremely communicative and thorough, making sure we covered bases that we hadn't even thought about. We had the necessary meetings prior, the photo lists organized ahead of time, and all the information we needed when deciding on location and our desired aesthetic. On the day of she worked nonstop, helped with poses, made us feel comfortable, and honestly felt like family. She was so personable and put us at ease. She was dependable, even for things outside her role. She even lent us a dog leash and dog treats for our engagement photos when we foolishly forgot to bring our own. She checked on us often leading closer to the big day as well as during, and even though we had a day of wedding coordinator, she felt like one as well. We were so happy to have had Grace Kathyrn work with us and absolutely LOVE all the photos she delivered! She also put lots of work on all the edits that we requested and everything came out perfect!! We felt bad for asking for multiple edits but she was more than happy to do it for us and made sure we didn't feel guilty about asking. She truly made our day and we couldn't be happier!! Thank you Grace Kathyrn for everything!!! You deserve all the praise for your amazing work and work ethic!! We're so happy to have these wedding photos to cherish for the rest of our lives.

When you can relive the moment through images
Where to start?! On the most important day of your life you want someone to make you feel comfortable and like a million bucks and let me tell you that is exactly what Grace did. From the first consultation with her I knew she was going to be amazing. She lived up to those expectations and total exceeded them. She was so relaxed and casual while being so professional. She took a look around our venue prior to try and scope out some spaces for us. It was a breeze working and communicating with her and she was so quick to answer any questions I had. She made it simply seamless from the planning to implementation. My family is huge and so she had to corral a lot of people which she was excellent about and so friendly. The kids loved her and she made everyone feel so comfortable. She made me feel so beautiful and gave me some coaching on how to make it look more natural! The day of was so dreamy and she blended right into the crowd that I had no idea she was taking pictures but then I got them. OMG were they absolutely stunning. Like the photos were absolutely beautiful and so nicely done. I wanted the more candid feel for the photos and Grace totally nailed it. She captured so many moments that I was able to relive them while browsing the photos. The laughs and smiles she was able to capture was fantastic. The sneak peek was wonderful and totally knocked it out of the park. Then came the full collection and absolutely blown away and difficult to chose just one of my favorites! I highly recommend using Grace for your special day, you won’t regret it!

Grace is AMAZING!
Grace Kathryn Photography was an absolute pleasure to work with for our wedding day. Grace far exceeded any expectations we could have had for our photographer. She did both our engagement photos and our wedding, and every step of the way, she was exceptionally responsive, clear in what she needed from us, receptive to what we wanted out of our photos, helpful in creating our day-of timeline to ensure we had enough time for all the photos we wanted, and an overall great person. And of course her photos are amazing and gorgeous and we love her editing style! Could not more highly recommend working with Grace!!
