Akiem has built a young and successful career as a content creator in the professional sports industry. He has worked with respectable brands including, USA Hockey, USA Soccer, NFL Flag, RISE and more. However, during 2020 COVID put a stop on sports, and that allowed him to discover a new passion- an undeniable love for wedding photography and videography “I want my clients to experience my love for creativity and storytelling through serving them on the most important day of their lives.”

I am a filmmaker and a storyteller. Since 1997, I have been producing wedding films and developing new techniques use within the industry. Additionally, I have traveled around the globe for my couples including Italy, Florida, California, New York, and many other locations. I have also produced and directed a feature length documentary which had 11 sell-out shows in our local theater. My love for movies are a big part of what inspires me, and by incorporating these styles in our wedding films, we have been honored to receive a large number of awards for our work.

Hey! I’m Adam, a wedding videographer obsessed with love based in Detroit, Michigan. Marrying the love of my life inspired me to pick up a camera and start documenting all the unique ways love is expressed. Capturing couples in the moment not only preserves a memory — it allows us to revisit the unparalleled feeling of a first kiss as a married couple or the shock of discovering your third cousin has serious dance moves.

My wife, Diana, and I started Big Day Productions over ten years ago with the goal of providing so much more than wedding videography.  We pride ourselves in serving our couples to the best of our ability and providing an amazing wedding experience. We love learning all about our couples, especially their stories. A wedding film is one of the only heirlooms from your wedding day, and to us, is the most important investment a couple can make. We’re Kristyn and Jon! We’ve been together since 2014 and got married in 2019 with an epic disaster of a wedding! We planned it so carefully and thought of every detail so we could give our guests the ultimate experience (being wedding pros and all) and ended up with a monsoon that caused our tent to start collapsing! In the end, nothing went as planned except that we did what we set out to do- marry each other! While we can’t control the weather on your day, we can make it an amazing, fun-filled experience and be able to tell your story in the most authentic way possible, creating a work of art with your memories at the center of it.
