About Blush Weddings

Owners

We’re Kristyn and Jon! We’ve been together since 2014 and got married in 2019 with an epic disaster of a wedding! We planned it so carefully and thought of every detail so we could give our guests the ultimate experience (being wedding pros and all) and ended up with a monsoon that caused our tent to start collapsing! In the end, nothing went as planned except that we did what we set out to do- marry each other! While we can’t control the weather on your day, we can make it an amazing, fun-filled experience and be able to tell your story in the most authentic way possible, creating a work of art with your memories at the center of it.

We always tell our couples that these are YOUR memories and YOUR video, so we're happy to create the type of video that you envision so that it's authentic to you! We also do photography and offer packages that offer both services, which can make your day run so much smoother and give you photo and video that match in quality and style. Kristyn has been photographing weddings since 2008 and Jon joined her in 2014. In 2017 we added video to the mix and haven’t looked back!

Once we confirm that we have your date available, we will send you an agreement to sign electronically. We require a flat booking fee of $1200 that goes towards your package, and can be paid online through our secure payment site. Once the agreement is signed and the booking fee is paid, your date will be reserved! *not applicable to SIMPLY packages
Absolutely! Your invoice allows you to make secure, online, interest-free payments anytime for any amount up to two weeks before your wedding date. If you need extra time, we offer payment plans that allow you to pay up to 12 months AFTER your wedding date with a low, 5-10% interest rate.
That's the great thing about our flat booking fee! You don't need to decide on a package before you reserve your date with us! Depending on availability, you can upgrade your package at any time up to two weeks before the wedding. You can also add certain options up to one year after your wedding, such as the full video, raw video footage, albums, prints, etc. *not applicable to SIMPLY packages
All of our base packages include up to 6 hours of coverage. Additional hours can be added based on the timeline of your wedding and your individual needs. We understand that weddings are not one-size-fits-all, so we will help you develop a timeline that fits your plans and allows us to capture all the best moments!
Our general rule is that we guarantee 50 photos per hour of shooting time. It's nearly always more than that, but that's the minimum that you can expect! We don't limit the number of images we include, so if it's a good image, it's included! We will go through the photos and hand select the best ones, removing ones that are out of focus, unflattering, or are very similar to others and we'll fully edit them to provide you the highest quality images. You will receive a personal usage license so you can download and print the full resolution images from your online gallery
Yes, we have valid passports and love to travel! If you are having a destination wedding, we ask that transportation and accommodations be covered. If you are in Michigan or the surrounding states/ provinces we do not charge a fee for fuel costs, as we consider that to be a typical business expense. However, if your wedding is more than 2 hours away from where we are based (Spring Lake, MI), we may ask for one night’s accommodation if it is an early-morning start time and late-evening end time. This is on a case-by-case basis and we'll always be upfront about whether this will be required. *not applicable to SIMPLY packages
Yes!* We offer the following discounts: -5% off for military and public service members (first responders, nurses, teachers) -10% off weekday weddings (Monday-Thursday) -10% off December- March -5% off November and April *cannot be applied to SIMPLY packages
