Ascendo Creative Co. is a woman-owned, Michigan-based business offering film and photo services. We recognize that one's wedding day marks a transition into the next chapter of their life as one commits to their s/o for life. We want to be there to document that monumental moment.

Alongside English, we also offer our services in Spanish, Portuguese, and Arabic. I love that I have the opportunity to meet new people from diverse backgrounds through this business and to capture each couple in their uniqueness in a high-quality format.

    We found this awesome crew on Zola ourselves and we were SO lucky! Each member of the ACC was professional, kind and knowledgeable. Our sneak peak photos have been STUNNING. We loved every step of the way. Emily and Katie even climbed into a creek for some beautiful shots for us, and if that’s not love idk what is!!

    The BEST Videographer around!

    Emily was able to capture our wedding day in the most special and personable way! She was very easy to communicate with and accommodating of our out of state status as we planned our wedding. She adjusted to what we wanted and even stayed late to capture a special moment in our night! We couldn’t have asked for a better experience! And we absolutely love our videos! We will cherish them forever!

    Emily is Awesome!

    Emily was our videographer for our wedding and she did a wonderful job. We didn't meet her in person until the day of the wedding and she was so kind and professional. She made us feel at ease. After the wedding she was in contact with us regularly, giving us updates on how it was going so we always felt in the loop. We were so happy with the final product. For two people who are pretty camera shy she did a great job making us look natural. Thank you Emily!

Heck yes! Although we’re based in Southwest Michigan, we’re available for destination weddings worldwide. If your wedding is over 80 miles from Kalamazoo, MI., we’re more than happy to come to your city for an additional fee to cover the cost of travel. For weddings that are more than 150 miles from Kalamazoo, an additional fee to cover both travel and reasonable accommodations will be applied. (All of these fees will be discussed before booking so that you are 100% aware of what that pricing may look like.)
Of course! I love meeting and working with individuals of all backgrounds. I'm actually multi-lingual: Spanish (Fluent) Portuguese (Conversational) Arabic (Conversational) My desire to learn these languages has always been extremely people-focused and so to be able to use them in my wedding work is incredible. I feel that being able to speak these languages allows me to build a stronger connection with my multi-lingual couples and their multi-lingual guests. I have traveled to many places: Jordan, U.A.E, Honduras, Brazil, etc. NOW, I'd love to explore more about YOUR culture and make you a stellar wedding film that showcases it. :)

Absolutely. Reach out anytime to ask about our special pricing for elopements! Please note your elopement must have fewer than 10 total guests.
Yes! We are always well-prepared and ready to take on any possible challenge that might come our way on wedding days. Almost any weather conditions that you would allow yourself to be in, we will probably be just fine in them as well! I have plastic rain covers that go over my cameras and enable me to continue filming even when rain hits. Do keep in mind that there are a few factors that may affect the quality of the ceremony video: rain droplets on the lens at times, restriction of movement due to the rain covers, etc etc. These haven't been issues in the past, but I do want to mention that something like that is a possibility.
Unfortunately, we do not currently offer same-day editing. There is a large amount of time and effort that goes into producing wedding films, and in order to craft a quality edit for you, we generally allow ourselves around 8-12 weeks to complete our wedding film packages.
Yes! All recap videos will be available on social media (including but not limited to Youtube, Facebook, my website, etc.) From these sharing points, you are more than welcome to share your film with friends and family. Other purchased deliverables, such as full ceremony, full speeches, etc., are put onto the custom flash drive that is sent to you once all edits are completed. Although I do not generally share these types of videos on my end, you are always more than welcome to upload them to your social media pages/share them with whoever you would like!
Once you know your wedding date, we recommend reaching out as soon as possible about our availability. We film a limited number of weddings every year to ensure our couples receive the highest quality service, so it's best to book ahead. There are often times when couples will reach out for last-minute bookings (due to a variety of reasons) and we are able to cover their wedding. It never hurts to ask. SO, don't be shy! Reach out. We will answer you promptly.
