Whether you’re preparing for your wedding day, learning to dance socially, or training competitively, my goal is to ensure every student leaves each lesson feeling empowered, confident, and proud of their progress. Dance should feel joyful, not intimidating — and I’m here to make sure it always does.

Walking through the door for your first wedding dance lesson can feel overwhelming — and I understand that. Many couples worry they have two left feet or no rhythm at all. That’s where I come in. What sets me apart as a wedding dance instructor is my belief that dancing can be just as natural as walking. My goal is to remove fear and pressure, break everything down simply, and create an environment where learning feels easy, fun, and encouraging. Your first dance isn’t about perfection — it’s about connection, joy, and confidence. I’m here to make sure you feel all three.

    I’ve been taking lessons with Annalise for over two years, and when I started, I was not a dancer at all. I began taking lessons twice a week for one very specific reason: I wanted to be able to dance with my daughter at her wedding. The idea honestly terrified me. I had never danced before. My daughter and I chose a song that was meaningful to her, and it turned out to be a Viennese waltz. If you’ve ever watched one, you know how intimidating that sounds for a beginner. But through Annalise’s patience, clear instruction, thoughtful choreography, and even her help editing the music, the dance turned out beautifully. My daughter was thrilled. I was proud. It was one of the most meaningful moments of my life. After that, I just kept going. I’ve learned tango, foxtrot, waltz, and more Viennese waltz. I’ve even competed in dance competitions. I’m 68 years old, and I now consider myself a good dancer, something I never thought I’d say. What makes Annalise special is that she is both highly skilled and genuinely caring. She understands what beginners need and knows how to guide you without pressure or judgment. Because of her, dance has become a real joy in my life. My girlfriend and I love dancing together now, and that’s entirely because Annalise helped me become someone who can actually dance. I couldn’t recommend her more highly.

    Working with Salt and Light Ballroom Dance was an absolute pleasure from start to finish. Analiese was incredibly clear, helpful, and informative throughout the entire process. She took the time to understand exactly what we were looking for in our wedding dance and provided amazing guidance to help us create our dream routine. Analiese is a fantastic teacher - she was able to break down the steps in a way that was easy for us to understand, and she was incredibly patient as we worked to perfect the choreography. The final result was a dance that truly reflected our personalities and made our first dance as a married couple so special.     We wanted to do more than the “high school seat” at weddings. Analiese was responsive in scheduling, she listened to what we were trying to accomplish and she worked with us to help us meet our goals. Analiese was able to adapt to work with our different experience levels, helping us both understand what she was telling us. She is easy going, fun and very experienced. She is an excelllent communicator and teacher.
