Previously, McKenzie worked at an interior design firm in NYC, which had the greatest impact to her overall aesthetics, design and approach to business - which is to always be thoughtful and make even the quietest of moments special. Her career as a photo and video producer honed McKenzie’s logistics, problem‑solving, and on‑site execution skills, ensuring every floral installation is efficient, composed with intention, and seamlessly executed.

The Grace and Thorn design style is organic, lush and romantic. Inspired by English cottage garden design, Grace and Thorn found a sweet spot rooted in simplicity that balances the intricacies and lush layering found in classical garden inspired pieces.

Maria Kato is a distinguished floral designer with over twenty-five years experience in the floral design industry. Before opening her own Savannah-based business in 2010, Maria served as the senior floral designer for Celebrations Limited, a company internationally known for designing some of the most exquisite weddings and special events in the Caribbean.
