“Not only did Sarah (propriator of the Inn) give us a beautiful setting for our wedding, she took it into her own hands to insure that every part of our day was perfect. She and her staff have found that perfect combination of laid back professionalism. If your home backyard isn't big enough for your wedding, this is the place. Sarah opened her doors and arms to our families like they were her own. “Absolutely — here’s a polished version that still feels personal and heartfelt: We truly cannot say enough wonderful things about Loon Mountain and the incredible team who made our wedding day absolutely magical! From management to the entire staff, everyone was fantastic to work with from start to finish. They were kind, accommodating, professional, and truly went above and beyond to make sure our day was everything we had hoped for. With rain on the radar, the team worked with us and moved things around to make sure we were still able to have our ceremony at the summit — something that meant so much to us. We are incredibly grateful for the effort they put into making it happen. And in the end, the overcast weather made the mountain even more beautiful. The views were breathtaking, and our photos came out looking absolutely majestic against the mountains and clouds. It honestly felt like something out of a dream. The venue itself is absolutely stunning and made for such a unique and unforgettable wedding experience. Our guests couldn’t stop talking about how beautiful Loon was and how special it was to take the gondola up the mountain for our ceremony. The food was also fantastic! A huge kudos to the chef and culinary team — everything was delicious and beautifully done. Our wedding day was truly the most magical day, and Loon Mountain was such a huge part of making it that way. We couldn’t have imagined a more beautiful place to get married or a better team to have behind us. We will forever be grateful to everyone at Loon for giving us a day we will never forget. If you’re considering a mountain wedding, Loon is an incredibly special place.”

“Our experience with Owl’s Nest was absolutely incredible from start to finish! From the moment we toured the venue with Gail, we knew this was where we wanted to get married. She made the entire booking process so easy and helped us choose the perfect date. Owl’s Nest truly offers an all-in-one experience — the on-site lodging made it so convenient for our family and friends, and every space on the property is breathtaking. We hosted our wedding in The Lakehouse, which was stunning, and originally planned to have our rehearsal dinner and welcome party in The Vault. When our guest list grew, the team seamlessly moved our welcome party to The Sunset Pavilion, and it worked out perfectly! We even reserved the golf simulators at Slice, which added such a fun touch for our guests. A huge thank-you to Taylor, our event planner — she was absolutely amazing. She put so much thought and detail into everything and made the entire planning process smooth and stress-free. The night before and the day of the wedding, she and her team went above and beyond to make sure every detail was perfect. I was nervous about vendor coordination, and Taylor personally reached out to each one to confirm everything so I wouldn’t have to worry. On our wedding day, she was my cheerleader, problem-solver, and calm in the chaos. I know Owl’s Nest has several planners, but I truly feel so lucky to have had Taylor. She made our entire experience unforgettable, and we could not have asked for a better venue or team. I would recommend Owl’s Nest to any couple looking for a beautiful, seamless, and joy-filled wedding experience!”

“Getting to have our wedding at Burke Mountain was so special! We could not have asked for a better weekend or wedding day. Alicia and her team are amazing and truly helped us bring our dream wedding to life. From the start, Alicia helped answer all of our questions (and we had many!) and helped us create the perfect day while always keeping our budget in mind. She provided detailed timelines and deadlines and helped us stay on track throughout the planning process. She was on top of all the details, both big and small, and even helped coordinate with each of our vendors. She was so great to work with! I'd also be remiss not to give Lou a shout-out! He worked so hard all weekend to make sure everything was set up for us, from the chairs and tables in the reception space to bringing the mums we had for the ceremony up to the site for us. Not only are Alicia, Lou, and the rest of their team incredibly organized, but they are all so kind! All weekend, we had staff offering to help, asking what we needed, and doing the same for our guests. While our entire wedding was everything we dreamed of and more, it was truly the people who helped make our wedding weekend so special, and that includes the team at Burke Mountain. In addition to the incredible team, the venue itself was stunning. We were lucky enough to have a beautiful, sunny fall day, and our guests were in awe of the views from both the mountain/pavilion site and the hotel. The space was comfortable, the food was delicious, and we loved that our guests could stay at the hotel if they chose to. We would absolutely recommend Burke Mountain to anyone looking for a wedding venue. We are so grateful we got to celebrate our wedding there!”

The Common Man Inn & Spa
Rating: 5.0 (3 reviews)
Plymouth, NH
  • Up to 180 guests
  • Select services

The first Common Man Restaurant opened in Ashland, NH in 1971. In the summer of ’72, we catered our first uncommon event. More than 50 years later, we offer 17 event venues in five locations across the state. We’ve catered to countless happy brides, local businesses, proud parents, raucous best men, bridesmaids, and delighted friends. We’ve planned perfect roasts, showers, BBQs, fundraisers, anniversaries, parties, dinners, and weddings. Our success is built on recognizing that your special event is just that, a special point in time. Our friendly, experienced catering team remains true to that understanding and is devoted to helping you realize exactly what you have in mind. We’ve renovated the event halls at The Common Man Inn & Spa in Plymouth and opened The Nest, a cozy event space at Common Man Ashland. We’re excited to host events at The Barn on the Pemi, our rustic event barn located in Plymouth, accommodating up to 300 guests with views of the mountains and Pemi river.

Why you'll love this venue

  • Has a dance floor to dance the night away
  • Multiple event spaces
  • Allows pets

Venue considerations

  • On-site parking not available
  • Not for you if you are looking for something nontraditional
  • No dedicated areas for getting ready
“My husband and I got married at the Barn on the Pemi on 5/31/24, which works closely with the Common Man Inn & Spa. We had our room block, rehearsal dinner, and after party at the Inn, but I'm here to rave about our experience with the Spa! After booking our venue, I spoke to the Inn about any accommodations or recommendations they might have for somewhere for myself and my bridesmaids to get ready the morning of the wedding. They actually have what they affectionately call the "Getting Ready Room," which can be reserved ahead of time. I saw some pictures, saw that the room had some nice natural light, floor to ceiling mirrors and salon chairs, so I figured it was our best bet. Come wedding week and I went down to the spa with my bridesmaid to see the room and the pictures definitely did not do it justice! The room is large with a sitting area with a couch, table and chairs in the middle and salon-style chairs and mirrors around the perimeter. Our hair and makeup stylists were THRILLED with the setup, since they are used to cramped, poorly-lit hotel rooms for wedding prep! I will let the pictures speak for themselves, but want to add one more thing. The night before the wedding, one of my nails (done at a salon back home) broke and popped off - nightmare! I kept the broken piece and brought it to the Spa the morning of the wedding to see if they could help. The Spa staff went above and beyond to make sure my nails looked perfect. One of their nail techs sat in front of my while I was having my makeup done, glued the nail piece back on, and put a top layer of the. white french tip and clear coat shellac over all of my nails to make sure they all looked the same. I would highly recommend the Spa Getting Ready Room for the morning of your wedding - the space and the staff are fantastic!”

“Abigail, Molly, Megan and the whole sugarbush team did an amazing job in our end of August wedding. Molly worked closely with us for 8 months, very professional, responsive and helpful in assisting us finding vendors and coordinating with vendors. She not only made detailed arrangements and timetables for wedding parties, also proactively reached out to photographer, DJ, florists and bakery to made sure everything is in place. We enjoyed our wedding day simply following Molly and Megan’s lead. Their team made everything smooth, especially when we encountered guest change and extra guest issue. Molly solved it super quickly. We also chose to reserved most of the rooms in the claybrook hotel so it is very convenient for welcome party and the wedding. We could not go up the mountain due to raining and windy but we had wedding on the grass. The photos came out so nice. Our guests gave us so many compliments. We highly recommend Sugarbush resort and very thankful for Molly and the whole team.”

“Choosing Camp Cody as our wedding venue was a huge decision and an excellent choice. Anna was so helpful throughout the process, and Dora was amazing weekend of–I never saw her standing still. The venue is so gorgeous, and being able to host our friends and family for a whole weekend made everything go by more slowly, with plenty of opportunities to connect with everyone. The Capture the Flag game we held morning of was a big highlight. The food was INCREDIBLE, and our guests haven’t stopped commenting on it. Everyone says you don’t eat at your wedding, and you better believe that was not true for us. As a person with a lot of food allergies, I’ve never felt more cared for and accommodated, and it was amazing to have that for our guests as well. In one notable moment, my cousin with celiac jumped with joy at the prospect of having gluten free pancakes and french toast for breakfast. The accommodations were comfortable, even in 30-40 degree temps overnight, the heat really works! Staying on site and not having to run around everywhere looking for everything and everyone made a big difference as someone without a planner. Also, arranging folks in cabins was not as stressful as we expected it to be. With our smaller wedding, we had plenty of space to spread people out. Thank you again to White Mountain Weddings for an amazing weekend!”

“Heidi was the most helpful during the planning process. She answered any and all questions I had about the space and logistics. She was professional, prompt, and knowledgeable. Matt was amazing on the day of the wedding. He made sure the ceremony and reception went smoothly. He even drove my husband, myself, and our photographer back down the mountain after the ceremony in his own car! He continually checked in with me and made the day much easier. Now for the space itself - we were immediately blown away by the King Pine ceremony location at the top of a mountain overlooking the beautiful lake. We got to take the ski lift up to the ceremony with our guests and I know those will be unforgettable pictures! Our reception was tented at king pine field and everyone raved about the whole thing from start to finish.
