Barn on Bridge was a wonderful venue for our November Wedding. The staff was very nice, always friendly, and made our day perfect. Mark and Michelle were so accommodating during our wedding planning process and were amazing to work with. Brianna and Bridget were our Day of Coordinators and did an awesome job making sure everything went according to plan. The beautiful barn venue speaks for itself and held our 170 guests well. The food was delicious and we've heard nothing but great reviews from our guests. Overall, we would give 5 stars for Barn on Bridge and would recommend it to anyone looking for a rustic barn venue for a wedding or event.

This was the perfect venue for my husband and I! We got married outside in the apple orchard on 6/6/26 and it was absolutely beautiful. We love the tranquility and nature focus of the venue. Our coordinator, Tara, was super helpful throughout the process and on the wedding day. We hired our own wedding planner which I recommend to make the day and process go even smoother. She and Tara worked great together. We did our cocktail hour in the barn for 1.5 hours since we had a lot of add on stations and the owl and it was amazing. We also had the 10 minutes of alone time where we actually got to eat and drink before entering cocktail hour which was super nice! The barn is absolutely stunning. The reception was amazing as well. We added on an extra hour, so we could end at 11pm which was great. The food was delicious all night, especially the prime rib and all the cocktail hour goodies, like the bacon bar! Our day was so so amazing, and the venue played a big role in that. A few things we would change about the venue: you are required to pick a vegetarian option for plated dinner, which we were a little disappointed about, there isn't much space for the groom to get ready in, and you can't really get everybody ready on site due to the time you're allowed there and the space allotted. Still though, we absolutely loved it and highly recommend.

"We had our ceremony and reception at The Ardmore Music Hall July 2017 and would choose it all over again! Our guests rave to us still that it was the coolest and best wedding they have ever attended. We are owners of a party band that perform at reception venues all over the tri-state area and we chose AMH because we wanted to marry on stage in a fun, relaxed, and unique environment. The staff could not have been more service-oriented from preplanning meetings up to and including servicing the guests. We have many compliments for the manager Sara for allowing us to decorate as we wanted, making "themed cocktail drinks", coordinating the rest of the very friendly staff and for going above and beyond etc.. We had many bands play throughout the evening and all of the musicians were impressed with the sound crew at AMH, they were absolutely perfectionists with the sound and lighting! Most compliments that we received were that it was such a warm, cool vibe, filled with love throughout the event....exactly what we hoped for. "

Choosing Appleford for our wedding was hands down one of the best choices we made in wedding planning. From the first tour Lisa made the experience as easy and stress free as possible. Their recommended vendors and partnered caters were great, and the open houses they held made selection smooth and gave us peace of mind knowing we were making informed decisions. One reason we loved Appleford was knowing they had a good rain plan - unfortunately, we did have to use this rain plan for some of our day so we were so incredibly grateful that the inside of the estate was stunning and ready for indoor use when the time came. The onsite coordinator was helpful in every respect and helped with everything including wardrobe malfunctions for the mother of the bride (helping to sew her dress when it was needed)! Our guests raved about how beautiful the venue was which was obvious from the moment you step on the property. We cannot recommend Appleford enough and are so incredibly grateful that we chose them for our wedding day!

Everything was great!! The staff was amazing, the food was raved about and the drinks were flowing! They let us come in and setup the day before and then come back 2 days later and collect the items we left behind. Blondie (Valerie especially!) could not have been more accommodating and they were the perfect venue for the smaller, party atmosphere wedding we were going for! Colin and the rest of the service team were top notch! Run, don’t walk to book your event with them because they’ll start being overbooked soon enough!!

My partner and I had the best experience working with Deyna Hamilton from Manayunk Brewing for our wedding reception! From the moment we booked the space a year prior, Deyna was so hands-on with us and helped with everything along the way. Every time we met, she kept us on track and helped us organize our to-do list and was such a pleasure to work with. She clearly has a ton of experience with planning and organizing events, and on the day-of, Deyna made sure we had the most carefree and fun time! The cocktail hour & reception space were perfect for my husband and I. We hosted about 80 people, so everybody had a lot of room to mingle and have drinks and dance. We chose to do stations for dinner, and they were a hit! Everybody told us how much they enjoyed the food during the cocktail hour and reception. The chef at Manayunk is very good! Deyna helped us choose all of the food in the months leading up to our reception which was also a load off our minds! We had a great time utilizing the bridal suite in the hours before our reception - it was a great space to have drinks and snacks with our family, put together some of our decor, and get ready. Deyna and the other staffers helped us tremendously by putting together the reception & cocktail hour space with all of our decorations, flowers, and photos. Deyna provided recommendations for vendors, so it was easy to choose a DJ (John Cicala from Silver Sounds) who already knew the venue! We can’t recommend Manayunk and Deyna enough. They were so wonderful to us! Thank you for everything!

What a beautiful venue! I was so happy to see my vision come to life but having the house and the grounds as a backdrop just made everything that much better. It was beautiful and we had so much space for everything. The team was incredible, I again need to shout out our coordinator Grace, who was just so phenomenal and made sure to help make everything look as we planned. We had our wedding on August 23rd so it was a hot day, and the fans you don’t even notice in the tent were so good it felt like AC! The house wasn’t hot either. The only time we were sweating was when we were dancing all too hard. I am so happy I decided to use this beautiful venue for my wedding.

The Drexelbrook did an excellent job hosting our baby shower. Their buffet and dessert bar options were delicious and plentiful. They took good care of our guests who needed vegan, gluten-free options or a kid's meal. One of the highlights of our celebration was a "make your own bouquet" bar for guests. It was an option that Drexelbrook suggested, based on our shower theme. They worked with us to ensure that we could decorate and arrange the space to meet the needs of our event. There is plenty of free parking on site.

We recently held our wedding at DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Philadelphia West, and I can't recommend this venue enough! From start to finish, our experience was exceptional, largely thanks to our amazing coordinator, Mary-Kate. Mary-Kate was an absolute gem—her professionalism and attention to detail made the entire planning process seamless. She worked closely with us and our future in-laws to coordinate not only the wedding but also the events leading up to and following the big day. Her dedication to making everything perfect was evident, and she was always attentive, following through on every request with ease. The venue itself is beautiful, and the pricing is incredibly reasonable considering the level of care and attention you receive. We were genuinely satisfied with every aspect of our experience and couldn’t have asked for a better setting for our special day. My husband and I had our wedding at the Penn Museum last weekend, and we truly cannot recommend it enough! From the moment we started looking at venues, we knew we wanted a museum setting, and the Penn Museum far exceeded every other option we saw. The grand, ornate architecture and the incredible exhibits won us over instantly. We loved that both the outdoor ceremony space and the indoor backup option were equally stunning. Regardless of weather conditions, we knew we’d be happy. The versatility of the venue was another huge plus, with so many beautiful rooms to choose from for each part of the celebration (ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception). Once the museum closes to the public at 5 PM, it essentially becomes yours for the evening. Almost all exhibits are open for guests to explore. Some of our favorite aspects of the venue were our outdoor ceremony in Warden Garden, which allowed for a dramatic processional through the grand brown doors, and cocktail hour in the breathtaking Chinese Rotunda. Our guests couldn’t stop raving about the uniqueness of the venue, the outstanding food, and the warmth of the entire staff. I do highly recommend having a day-of coordinator to assist if you choose Penn Museum, given that it is primarily a museum and that created some added complexities for logistics.

Lily and I had been coming to Libertee grounds for many years and absolutely loved the food, the environment, and putput! When we were thinking about where to do our pre-wedding get together Libertee was the first place that came to mind. Ellie was incredible in making our vision come to reality. The night before our wedding we ended up having 200 people come from all over the world, asian fusion buffet, open bar, a DJ and henna artist, and watched our families have the time of their lives and mingle. Our guests raved about their time and many have since been frequenting the grounds. Ellie and the LG team made the event completely seamless and our only worry was how to save our voices for the Wedding day! We highly highly recommend Libertee grounds for any event big or small, and can't wait to be back!

We love the FI, my husband and I both have amazing childhood memories running around their exhibits. As a wedding venue it was even more amazing! Pepper Hall with candlelit mood and florals added was like a soft classic library from a fairytale, our ceremony in that room felt magical. Our guests loved running through the exhibits during our happy hour, the little ones invited were playing in there most of the night. Last but not least our Franklin Hall reception was breathtaking and so much fun! Tara and the FI team made communication and planning a breeze. Tara especially was the greatest reference for any questions or worries we had. She was positive, so responsive, and had solutions and advice for everything! We are so obsessed with our choice of venue and we highly recommend it to any couple looking for a really unique and special venue!

My bridal shower here was fantastic! I would highly recommend The Atrium to friends and family. The planning process was efficient and easy. Since I don't live close, I appreciated that the planning was done by zoom calls. The team was anxious to understand our expectations and delivered beautifully. My 2 celiac guests felt very comfortable with their food choices. My guests were continually commenting on how delicious the food was. The specialty drinks were a big hit too! The coffee bar was used quite a bit as well. Everyone on the team that I met at the event were helpful and responsive just like Nicole was from the time we started planning. The servers were friendly and efficient. Highly recommend!!!

The Ivy at Ellis Preserve
Rating: 5.0 (4 reviews)
Newtown Square, PA
  • Up to 350 guests

Conveniently located near hotels, restaurants and highways. This upscale barn style venue offers modern lighting with industrial vibes to create the most magnificent combination of elegance and simplicity. Onsite ceremonies and outdoors grounds make The Ivy one of a kind, and Simply the Best!

Why you'll love this venue

  • Both indoor and outdoor options
  • Space for a large guest list
  • Designed for grand celebrations

Venue considerations

  • Best for events with big guest lists
  • Couple must handle cleanup and setup
  • Additional event staff required
When I set out to plan our wedding, there were two things my husband and I knew we absolutely needed: a venue that had “character” all on its own, and food that was “top-notch” while still being allergy-friendly. So, I logged onto Facebook and started joining every bridal group I could find. I was looking for something VERY SPECIFIC, a gem, a place that had everything I was envisioning. Honestly, I didn’t think it existed. And then came The Ivy at Ellis Preserve by Finley Catering. What I thought didn’t exist suddenly became a reality. My husband and I visited The Ivy just one month after it opened, and we instantly fell in love. That was it. The search was over. Just as quickly as we fell in love with each other, we fell in love with the venue. From start to finish, Meg was responsive, caring, attentive, and professional. She understood that my husband and I have serious food allergies and never made us feel like our needs were an inconvenience or an afterthought. Meg, our event coordinator, and her husband, Mike, our maître d, went above and beyond to make our wedding day incredibly special. Most people say their wedding day “flashed before their eyes,” but for me, that was never the case. Every moment felt like my husband and I were spinning together inside a snow globe, dancing while the entire world settled around us. And I truly believe that feeling was possible because of how well the entire team took care of us. The staff were INCREDIBLE. Every single person we encountered was kind, helpful, attentive, and professional. It’s been just shy of three weeks since our wedding, and our guests are STILL raving about the cocktail hour and dinner. MANY of them have told us it was, by far, the best cocktail hour they have ever experienced. And the best part? We didn’t even select any of the food upgrades! But what meant the most to my husband and me was that we didn’t just have to hear about how amazing the food was from our guests; we got to experience it ourselves. Meg and Mike took our allergies seriously and went above and beyond to make modifications so we could safely enjoy our wedding meal alongside everyone else. They made us feel like our allergies didn’t make us “different.” We were able to sit down, eat, celebrate, and enjoy our reception just like every other couple. That meant EVERYTHING to us. I cannot stop raving about Finley Catering and their newest venue, The Ivy at Ellis Preserve and clearly, neither can our guests! Throughout the entire planning process, I talked endlessly about how beautiful the venue is. It is SO elegant and beautiful on its own that it truly doesn’t need much. In fact, I DIY’d about 95% of my wedding, and I would tell every future couple the same thing: you don’t have to go all out. Keep it simple. Let the architecture, character, and elegance of The Ivy speak for you. The “bones” of this venue are absolutely beautiful, and they create the perfect canvas for whatever vision you have. Meg and Mike, thank you SOOOOO much for everything you did for us. Thank you for listening, caring, accommodating, anticipating our needs, and making us feel so incredibly special from the moment we walked through The Ivy’s doors to the moment our wedding day ended. We will forever be grateful that we found our “gem” and that we got to celebrate the beginning of our marriage there. ️ The Ivy at Ellis Preserve will always hold such a special place in our hearts.
