For years, the space was used to host congregations until 2003 when it was converted into an event hall. Designed in the eclectic French Renaissance Revival, or Chateau-esque, style, this lovely Victorian-era home is distinguished by steep gables, intricate detailing, and massive stone masonry ornamentation. Located at 1150 Peachtree Street and now a beloved Midtown icon, The Wimbish House is lovingly restored and is designated a national, state and city landmark. The Wimbish House has an extensive list of Approved Caterers to choose from that will provide food, servers, bartenders, and rentals, and is a bring your alcohol venue, saving couples from costly bar packages and minimums. As a facility rental, we provide tables and folding chairs inside, as well as complimentary parking. All outdoor furniture will need to be rented. Catering would be provided through one of our amazing catering companies we partner with and can average $120 to $200 per guest. Beverage service and bartenders are additional and are provided by the History Center. It is about $65 per person for a 4-hour premium full bar. We have a full property minimum on Saturdays of a peak month: April, May, June, September, and October. The facility rental fee for the Swan Gardens, Atlanta History Museum, and Grand Overlook ballroom on a Saturday is $12,500 and we have an additional $5,500 beverage minimum. Fridays and Sundays are $10,000 with a $2,500 beverage minimum. Most of our weddings can expect to spend between $400 to $1,000 per guest after all vendors and costs are added up and divided out per guest.

Couples seeking a private and picturesque setting for their big day will delight in the indoor and outdoor event options available at SCAD Ivy Hall. Ceremonies take place in the scenic gardens, with an intimate beauty spot for that all-important couple's first look. Afterward, you can host a cocktail hour for 150 guests and explore the venue for photo ops with your love. An elegantly appointed tent can be erected on the front driveway, with space for up to 150 guests for a night of dinner and dancing. The indoor space can seat up to 100 friends and family members for more intimate celebrations. Here, surrounded by beautiful artworks, installations, and timeless interiors, you can make lifelong memories from start to finish.
