Direct Entertainment DJ-PHOTO-VIDEO-BOOTHS

Rating: 4.6 (133 reviews)

“Brian, our DJ was fantastic. He was so attentive and followed every request to a T. He was SO happy for us and truly genuine in his well wishes for me and my husband. He kept the dance floor packed all night, filled in the blanks where I couldn’t come up songs, and kept everything running smoothly! We appreciate him so much, and wish Mr. Brian the absolute best. Jim, the owner, was also extremely communicative and so easy to work with and kind. It’s more than just a business to them, they actually care about your special day. Direct entertainment has the best pricing and package options by far, and the level of care was unmatched from the very first conversation. Thank you Brian & Jim from the bottom of our hearts! HiMotive Entertainment & Photobooth

Rating: 4.7 (80 reviews)

“Overall, we had a good experience with our DJ. He arrived on time, was professional throughout the evening, and kept our guests on the dance floor for most of the night. The music flowed well, and everyone seemed to have a great time. That said, I did spend a lot of time carefully selecting songs that were meaningful to us, and I was a little disappointed that many of those selections weren't played. Some of our requested songs were included, but I had hoped more of our playlist would be incorporated into the evening. The only other issue was that, just before our grand exit, he approached us to mention that he hadn't received enough food. We had paid for a vendor meal for him, so I wasn't sure what had happened, and it didn't feel like the best time to bring it up while we were in the middle of such a special moment. Despite those concerns, he was friendly, punctual, and our guests clearly enjoyed themselves. If having a lively dance floor is your top priority, he does a good job creating a fun atmosphere.”

“The Bachelor Boys played at a wedding my then boyfriend and I attended about a 8 months before we got engaged. As soon as it became time to start planning our wedding we knew without a doubt that we wanted them to play at our wedding too! They are such talented and fun musicians! Our wedding planner has also worked with them a bunch and was very supportive of us hiring them. Steve was so great to work with and it was a very easy process planning the music with them. Our guests were blown away by their abilities and everyone had such a fantastic time- several people asked me that night how I found them! They were so fun and made the evening even more memorable and special- Hiring them was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding!”

Prime Time Event Group

Rating: 5.0 (23 reviews)

“I am a professional wedding coordinator turned queer bride and I was worried about finding a good DJ for our wedding. Many wedding DJs give me second hand embarrassment and create a cringey homecoming-y vibe. Also, we had a guest count of just 47 so we were worried about finding a DJ who could get the dance floor moving with such a small group. Frank was everything we were looking for and more!!! Frank absolutely BLEW US AWAY with his professionalism, talent, and personality! In meetings he was attentive, explained everything in detail, and really worked to get to know us as a couple instead of just a cookie cutter one size fits most format. QUEER COUPLES THIS IS YOUR DJ!!! As a queer couple, we were in search of vendors who would make us feel safe and welcome through the whole process. We absolutely found that in Frank! He was open and understanding of pronouns, identities, and family dynamics. He truly cared and listened to us about each and every aspect! We felt truly celebrated, safe, and welcome! On the big day everyone was telling us how well they could hear everything during the ceremony (it was outside and windy) and we gave alllllll the credit to Frank’s high quality equipment and skill. My spouse and I kept talking about how good of an announcer he was and how well spoken he was. Zero cringing on my end (which is HUGE for me)! His lighting and set up was professional and elegant. It didn’t take away from the rest of the decor while still lighting up on the dance floor beautifully and made for the perfect dancing atmosphere! Once it was time for dancing he kept the party going until the last song even with our small guest count! We had a blast and Frank played a MASSIVE role in that! He worked seamlessly with our planner and designer, Mia, with Little Acorns Events who recommended him! Our timeline, experience, and vibe was perfect thanks to their collaboration!!! We couldn’t possibly recommend Frank with PTEG enough! Trust me he will be the highlight of your event!”

Camille, 23 days ago

“Ana & Jimmy were in a different league from the moment we met them. On our first Zoom, they listened to everything I said about our taste and our vibe… and then gently told me that our beloved saxophonist idea didn’t match anything we had described. They recommended a guitarist instead— and thank goodness, because they were absolutely right. Their planning process was incredibly thoughtful.. and for me, hilarious. Their music surgery? Thorough and genius, and apparently visible to them before you hit submit. Which meant they saw me type things like “Haed pass,” “No thank you,” and “What even is that??” Live. Thankfully, they have incredible senses of humor. They checked in multiple times, did a full site visit, and showed up with a sound team who stayed all night to make sure everything was flawless. They even coordinated our private outdoor first dance with our violinist while sending the music inside to guests — seamlessly. But the reception is where they catapulted into untouchable territory. They don’t just sing and DJ… they perform. Including: * the full, committed N’SYNC “Bye Bye Bye” choreography * A Blink - 182 elder millennial scream-along that transported us back to 2003 * Coming onto the dance floor to hype everyone * Interacting with guests like they’ve known us forever. I don’t dance— and I was on that dance floor all night. Our guests are still texting us about how unreal the band was and we’ve heard “best wedding I’ve ever been to” on multiple occasions. My only genuine disappointment is that the wedding is over and I don’t get to hang out with Ana and Jimmy anymore. Hire AMP DJ/BAND HYBRID. Thank me later”

BEN KYLE - ROMANTICA MUSIC

Rating: 5.0 (6 reviews)

Solo performer

Serves Alderson, WV for additional fees

Hey, I'm Ben! A Minneapolis-based singer-songwriter whose music has been featured on ABC's Nashville, and in American Songwriter magazine. I delight in creating unforgettable wedding experiences, with the perfect song at the perfect moment. With over two decades performing at iconic Twin Cities venues like First Avenue, the Fitzgerald and State Theaters, and touring nationally and internationally, I specialize in delivering heartfelt acoustic performances that resonate emotionally and spiritually with couples and guests.

“We were planning a small wedding on a modest budget but knew the music had to be something special. As longtime fans of Romantica and Ben Kyle, we reached out to see if he’d perform at our ceremony and we’re so glad we did! Ben was wonderful to work with from start to finish. He helped us select the perfect mix of songs, including a mix of his originals and a beautiful cover that fit seamlessly into our ceremony. His music brought such heart and authenticity to our day, and his communication throughout the process was excellent. Truly one of the highlights of our wedding!”

Kate & M., a year ago

“Jason was great throughout the whole process! He was great at communicating and making sure he had all of the songs that we wanted (and didn’t) throughout the night. He also did a great job at adjusting the songs played based off of what our guests responded well to so people were on the dance floor all the time which I loved!! He collected a bunch of photos from us and displayed them on a screen that’s built into his DJ booth (I don’t know what it’s called) and many guests came up to us to specifically tell us that they loved seeing our pictures of us and our relationship as well as pics of us growing up. It’s something I don’t even think of doing, but Jason offered and I’m so glad he did! He also set up a photo booth that was very popular. He was great at making sure that things that I needed were just taken care of and went out of his way to coordinate with my wedding planner and kept me in the loop which I appreciated. We had a ton of kids at our wedding and he did a great job at playing clean (and popular) music that wasn’t raunchy. If I have any other events I’ll be sure to book Jason and I’d highly recommend him to any of my friends and family!”
