The Eastern is a wonderful industrial, versatile venue in the heart of Eastern Market in downtown Detroit! This venue comes as a blank slate. So many different options as to how you can dress this venue up for a wedding/event. Be sure to use the few large wooden tables it comes with for your buffet table, hors d’oeuvre table, seating outdoors, head-table etc. Look no further than The Eastern or The Norwood for your wedding! I would recommend this venue to any couple looking to have a wedding in a unique spot, rather than a ballroom.

The Clark’s Lakeside

5.0

Homer, MI
  • Up to 200 guests
  • Select services
  • Outdoor & indoor
  • Starts at $1,800

We began our journey in 2015 with a dusty gravel pit and vision for a new home. The gem was the stunning 30 acre crystal clear lake. After purchasing the property we found ourselves hosting church activities and work functions as people truly loved being here. Slowly, we began adding amenities to the property. In 2020 one of our daughters got engaged. As she began looking for a venue to host her wedding we came to realize that the perfect spot was right in front of us. We wanted it to be a very special place and we went to work to create a beautiful wedding venue. There are many opportunities on the property for one of a kind pictures. There are two picturesque options in front of the lake for the service and a new reception building that can seat up to 200 guests. With a 5 acre campus larger weddings can be accommodated with tent rental.

Why you'll love this venue

  • Private area for the wedding party
  • Multiple event spaces
  • Natural elegance with open spaces

Venue considerations

  • No on-site guest accommodations
  • Does not allow pets
  • Additional event staff required

My son’s wedding was here one week ago and it was absolutely perfect and stunning. Tammy made sure that it went seamless. I was short two table cloths and she offered to give me what I was missing and even put the tablecloths on the tables for me. I appreciate them letting us use this space to celebrate my son and daughter in law. Memories that will last a lifetime. Thank you.

Elizabeth Birch worked with us to helped us achieve the perfect wedding of our dreams. From the beautifully landscaped ceremony, photo, and reception spaces, to the outstanding food and service, there was no detail overlooked. Elizabeth helped us coordinate the entire wedding long-distance. I was in Florida, and the bride was in Chicago. But with her guidance, we were able to coordinate the local vendors needed to pull off a dream wedding.

We got married at the Blue Dress Barn this summer and our entire wedding day was like a fairytale--we still can't get over how beautiful everything was. The greenery and grounds of the BDB are unmatched and our guests couldn't stop commenting on how beautiful everything was. Amelia is helpful and easy to work with and Georgia is lovely as well. The barn staff left the florals up on the arch and in the barn from the night before, which was such an incredible surprise because they were so gorgeous. The getting ready areas for the bridesmaids and groomsmen had so many beautiful & intentional details that made it so special for us. The venue is also well known by other vendors in the area as well since it's been around for so long (23 years!), and so working with our catering staff (Classic Catering), photography (Spencer Penfield) and DJ (DJ Jennefa) was a breeze. If we could do it all over again, we wouldn't change a single thing. We feel so grateful we were able to spend our favorite day with all of our friends and family at this beautiful venue! Thank you, Amelia!

Having our wedding at Bay Pointe was to put it simply: perfection. We booked our wedding over a year in advance and from the first few seconds that we stepped in for our tour of the venue, we were in love. Mariesa, our sales manager, was so personable and so accommodating. The entire process leading up to the wedding was so efficient working with Madison. She was so communicative and so easy to work with. All of our changes, questions, recommendations, literally everything - she had an answer to! We always felt so welcomed by the entire staff. Our rehearsal dinner at the Bay Pointe Bar and Grill was beautiful and the staff that night were amazing - they made sure we were doing ok, our family was fed and everyone was having a good time. Lauren, our day of coordinator was excellent at her job. She worked so well with all of our vendors and family. We had the BEST time ever. The value is worth the money you spend. A huge thank you to everyone on the Bay Pointe team who helped us along the way and the weekend of.

We recently celebrated our wedding at The Treasury Ballroom on October 3rd, 2025, and even though I work at this facility, there was never a question in my mind — no other venue even came close. The Treasury is truly in a league of its own, and our wedding day exceeded every expectation we had. The food was nothing short of incredible. Chef Kyle went above and beyond, taking extra time to create custom dishes and desserts specifically for our wedding, and our guests are still talking about how amazing everything tasted. From the cocktail hour to dessert, every bite was thoughtfully prepared and absolutely delicious. The service staff were equally impressive — attentive, professional, and genuinely kind — constantly going above and beyond to make sure our guests were comfortable and that every detail of the day ran seamlessly. A special thank you to Josh, Kristin and Natalie for helping make the day even more special and for helping with every detail, allowing my husband and I to relax and truly enjoy the day from start to finish. We had an off-property private ceremony, and afterward our guests returned to The Treasury for a small, intimate cocktail hour in the vault for those who attended the ceremony. This ended up being one of our favorite parts of the day. Many of our guests had never seen the bank vault before, and they absolutely loved getting to experience such a unique and historic space. It also gave our guests something special and memorable to enjoy while we finished photos, before the main cocktail hour officially began — it worked out perfectly. The space itself is absolutely breathtaking. The architecture is stunning and elegant, allowing for minimal décor while still feeling grand and timeless. We also took a large portion of our photos inside the vault, which made for the most incredible and unique memories you truly cannot recreate anywhere else. We truly couldn’t have imagined a better place to host our wedding. From the food, to the service, to the one-of-a-kind atmosphere, The Treasury made our day feel incredibly special and completely unforgettable. We will cherish these memories forever and cannot recommend The Treasury Ballroom highly enough.

The venue itself was/is absolutely gorgeous. The pictures on the website, or social media, help show how beautiful it is, but in person, it is so much more beautiful. The communication from the owners and managers were excellent. Our caterer backed out about 4 months prior to our date and the manager helped us by offering different recommendations within our budget. We did not have to deal with this since our weather was perfect, but they have a very good backup plan that works well for unseen weather. Overall, I will recommend this venue fully to anyone interested.

My husband nor I are from Michigan (from the Chicagoland area) and everyone kept asking us "why Michigan?" The moment they walked in, they felt the same feeling I did when I first toured the venue. It is beautiful, unique, personal and was everything and more that I could have hoped for. Our wedding as at the end of June and we were very fortunate that the rain held off and the temperature/humidity ended up being perfect. We had about 185 guests attend the wedding and I think everyone was too stunned by the venue to even care about the drizzle of rain that was happening. Not to mention, Amelia and her staff are absolutely amazing from the very beginning to the very end.

They were even able to help us find a DJ who was amazing, before they helped us I was so worried about a DJ, so to have them be able to help, was truly amazing. We even at the end decided to upgrade the lighting, which was a great choice. Everything looked great and went so smoothly and we and our guest had a blast. We are so glad that we discovered Stonegate Manor for our small family ceremony! To start, it is so close to Lake Michigan. We were able to get a photo op at the beach in our casual clothes before the ceremony. Then when we arrived at Stonegate, there was plenty of space in the beautiful manor house for us to change into our ceremony outfits. And speaking of photo ops, the grounds are beautiful and have tons of options for beautiful backdrops. We chose the Fairy Garden as our location, and since we were planning our wedding on a very short timeline, we didn’t have any extra decorations. We didn’t need them! It was the perfect secluded spot for us to say our vows with our family members, both human and canine (did we mention Stonegate is dog friendly?!). As I mentioned, we were planning our wedding with only about a month’s notice, and at first we thought that we’d just go to the courthouse. We can’t say how glad we are that we chose Stonegate instead. While we wanted the day to be a casual, stress free event, we also wanted it to be special and memorable. Having an elopement package that includes flowers, cake and other extras eliminated planning stress and decision fatigue, and Prudy is so easy to work with and was able to accommodate the requests we did have to make the day uniquely ours. If you are planning on having your wedding at Stonegate Manor, expect personalized customer service, consistent communication, and a warm welcome when you arrive for your big day.

Our reception at Oak Pointe CC turned out to be so beautiful and perfect. Everything was placed where I wanted it to be and looked exactly how I had hoped. The execution of the day was seamless and smooth, and my fiancé and I were VERY happy with how everything turned out that day. We didn't have to worry about anything, except for placing the name cards at the head table. The bridal room came very much in hand for privacy and keeping our personal belongings safe and out of the way during the reception. The grounds looked beautiful and clean, and the staff was very friendly. Servers, kitchen personnel, set up/tear down helpers, bartenders, etc... thank you so much for making our wedding day so wonderful! Food came out in a timely fashion and was delicious, servers and bar tenders all had a good attitude and were friendly, which was very important to me as well. All of our guests seemed to really enjoy themselves, and everyone said how beautiful it was there! Our only criticism was the communication during the "off season". It wasn't the best when it came to confirming the food, setting up the tasting, getting the updated contracts when changes were made, and the other minor details. However, the communication as we got closer to our wedding was much better, and we felt at ease as the day drew nearer. Julianna ended up going out of her way to add in small details for our day to make it look even prettier in the ballroom and she really put her best foot forward as soon as we got there. All in all, we were very happy with how everything turned out, and we want to thank everyone at Oak Pointe Country Club, especially Julianna for going above and beyond what we had hoped, and truly making us feel special on our day :) Thank you from the bottom of our hearts! What a place! Julie at Rust Belt is by far the best vendor I have worked with across three weddings. She is professional, proactive and responsive, doing everything she can to make our vision a reality. Her staff made the event seamless, leaving us to enjoy the evening with our guests. And the venue sets up so nicely for a party. It's open but with separate areas for the bar and dinner, giving ample room for people to move around and socialize. I could not have envisioned a more perfect place for our wedding reception than Stonebridge. This is a stunning venue! We had our reception at Stonebridge on Friday, 5/31/24. Kim helped us coordinate everything from the beginning and made everything so easy. Stonebridge is great because it includes catering, lots of decor, and ceremony too, though we had our ceremony elsewhere. Having catering through the venue made it that much easier because we didn't have to look for another vendor for this. The outdoor cocktail hour space was beautiful and perfect. Having the outdoor tiki bar in addition to the indoor bar helped move the line along. We had buffet style dinner, and we got so many compliments on our food. The garlic mashed potatoes and bronzed salmon with capers were the clear winners, but everything was so good. The event managers of the day, Sarah and Hannah, were amazing. They checked in on my husband and I frequently to make sure we always had what we needed, and brought us so much peace of mind! If anything went wrong, I don't know about it, because they along with Kim ensured that everything was taken care of. All decorations supplied by Stonebridge were set up and taken down for us at no extra cost, but we also opted to pay a little extra to have Stonebridge's staff clean up the decorations that we brought, which eased a lot of the burden on our families. This was 100% worth every penny. Everything got cleaned up that night and they took great care of our things so nothing was damaged. They also assisted in setting up our donut table shown in one of the attached photos! Pictures don't do this beautiful place justice but hopefully you can get an idea :)

We had Xavier and Kaley for our wedding at Journeyman in November, and they were absolutely incredible to work with. From start to finish, they made the entire experience feel effortless. Their communication was clear, their energy was warm and positive, and they truly went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly. Everyone loved the food—it was delicious and beautifully presented! The servers were so nice too!! At one point, we realized we needed to add an extra table, and Xavier and Kaley were so accommodating. They made it completely seamless and just made it happen, which took such a weight off our shoulders. You can tell they genuinely care about the couples they work with. They anticipated needs before we even said them out loud, kept everything organized behind the scenes, and made us feel supported and relaxed the entire day. Our guests even commented on how kind and professional they were. Xavier and Kaley played such a big part in making our day unforgettable, and we couldn’t be more grateful. If you’re getting married at Journeyman, ask for them—you will be in the absolute best hands. 3

The Grand LV was the perfect fit for us. We were looking for a venue that we could have our ceremony and reception in separate spaces. There is a magnificent bridal suite for the morning of, we also wanted to ensure that there was a grooms room. With the venues we toured, these 3 things were not a priority. With The Grand LV, it was. We also had freedom to make the space our own. It is beautiful as it is, so it did not need much help, but we had the autonomy to do so. We also were able to have our wedding our way. We could be in the day before to set up, we had choice in who we wanted as a caterer. It was so freeing to be able to make all of these decisions. Our guests loved the venue, stated it was so beautiful and unique. I could not recommend The Grand LV enough. It was the perfect place to start our lives together.

Beautiful space and great owners! Sarah was so helpful to work with and very genuine. Of all the venues we toured and owners we spoke with, Sarah stood out for understanding what her business is about and what it means for couples. She was so easy to work with and made the whole process smooth. The chalkboards were so fun to decorate and really added to our decorations. The space was well cared for and maintained. The bell tower was a great spot to take pictures, but brace yourself for a climb! We especially appreciated the Pay it Forward decoration closet. There were so many decoration options and themes to choose from! It was a real help for us to have on hand so we could limit how many decorations we purchased/rented. We loved getting married here and would recommend it to anyone!
