What’s Happening at Tabletop’s Fashion Week

Today we’re at the NY Tabletop Show at 41 Madison. Decoded, that means fashion week for all things table, from dinnerware to barware.  On day 1, what caught our eye was color — and in particular, blue!

As we walked into the show, we just had to stop and gaze at this wall of china.  What a fun way to mix and match fresh, new designers like B by Brandie with renowned classics like Royal Copenhagen. We liked how all of these blues evoke a classic, timeless feel with a modern twist.  If you love this look as much as we do, but like to keep your day-to-day entertaining more casual, consider saving those pattern-rich pieces for salad plates or bowls, and pairing them with simpler, solid dinner plates.

Lenox – another favorite brand brought a Buvette bistro feel to the preview of their upcoming collection. This blue and white tea set would make mornings, even the rushed ones, a bit more charming.

We’ll share more updates from the show over the week to give you a sneak peek of what’s to come for Zola tabletop.  In the meantime, check out our current selection of blue and white pieces in tabletop, like Kate Spade’s Charlotte Street line, and get inspired to mix and match.
