About Shark Pig Weddings

Shark Pig Weddings

We believe that a wedding video should be about more than what the wedding looked like or sounded like. It should convey how it felt to be there. We make heavily edited, super stylish music videos of your wedding and we shoot them all on both digital and film cameras. We also love to travel and our work is a great fit for destination weddings. We take a pretty specific approach to our films and we want you to have the right team with you on your big day. If it seems like we might be a good fit, give us a shout.

We believe film has a timeless feel that adds a special layer to any video, which is why we shoot both digital and film footage at every wedding. We never use an editing template or a formula, and we don’t make you do “takes” on the wedding day. We honor the unique nature of your wedding, and catch moments as they happen—and with almost 1,000 weddings under our belts over the last 10+ years, we've gotten pretty dang good at it!

No, we don't. Mostly because we don't think you'll actually enjoy watching that very much. Our vignettes are easy to share with friends & family, and our clients often tell us that they love watching them over and over. That's because of how short and compact they are. We do provide an uncut presentation of the ceremony vows.
We're based in LA, NYC, Charleston, and Portland, but we absolutely love to travel. We're lucky enough to have traveled all over the world filming weddings. We charge one simple flat travel stipend. We don't add any additional fees for the traveling days, but we do have to cover our hard costs. You know, the basic things: flight, food and shelter.
We do a non-refundable 50% deposit to book the date, and we don't book out any further than a year in advance. Because even though you don't, we have commitment issues!
There are a few ways to do it. Our favorite method is when you send us 10 or 15 songs that you LOVE and let us figure out which song fits the footage best. Of course, you can straight up tell us which song to use, as long as you don't torture us anymore with that Mumford guy and his kids.
We will deliver everything within 6 months but we can usually get it to you much sooner.
The film. In order to keep the cost of it down, we process the film in bulk. First it needs to be developed, and then we get it professionally color graded and telecined to a full resolution HD file. It turns out looking awesome, but it takes awhile. But hey - we do offer a Sneak Peek you can get two weeks after the wedding in our a la carte add-ons.
By default, we send two. If it becomes a problem with travel costs, we can totally send just one. Many of our films were captured on a solo mission. Please note: opting for one shooter doesn't reduce the package price. It's a lot more work for that one person, so we pay them for it.
As wedding vendors, we often either get rushed away into a closet and fed an old sandwich, or we get cold leftovers that we're supposed to wolf down right when your Dad decides to make a toast. But yes, we love food. We dance better if we can eat. We stay longer if we can eat. I guess this has really turned into a shameless ploy for food.
We don't include a set number of hours with any of our packages. Our teams will typically arrive about an hour or so before you plan to get dressed and stick around until the end of the party, or until they have everything they need to make you a killer video.
