Storytelling through motion and sound has been part of me since I was a kid, and in 2014, I turned that passion into Piximpress. More than a videographer
When my best friend got married - I distinctly remember her videographer showing up, and capturing the beauty that was a rainy mountain morning. And not a suttle mist - a torrential downpour day. How Henry captured so much joy on that rainy, wet day spoke to me - and I knew then that his sort of talent, pride, and commitment to capturing the beauty of a wedding is something and someone I wanted on my own vendor team. Fast forward 5 years later - Henry was the second vendor we booked for our wedding. Not only was he a joy to work with - but he remembered us from her wedding years ago! Henry was not only professional, well branded, talented, kind, and thoughtful - but he met with us multiple times ensuring that he didn’t just show up to make a video - but he showed up to capture the happiest day of our lives. Henry knew us by then - and because of that, he was able to create the most beautiful wedding video of our day. Henry was one of the guys with our groomsmen, not just promoting them but capturing the raw and real moments of friendship between my husband and his groomsmen. He knew just how to grab the most candid shots of my bridesmaids and myself - and the sentimental moments of my husband and I. One thing that stood out to my husband and I during our first touch and letter reading, was not even remembering Henry was capturing it. He was so thoughtful, professional and personable - he knew how to grab that moment without making himself even known. We were thrilled not even a week later while on our honeymoon to have received our sneak peak of our wedding video! It was so special to have something back to quickly. And from that video we knew we were going to love our full feature wedding film. When we got our wedding film, we sat quietly and watched it - amazed at the little details Henry captured that we had forgotten in moments of excitement. The laughing and dancing, the happy tears and sentimental vows! Champagne and sparklers, beautifully transitioned to slow dances and sweet toasts - Henry beautiful showcased our wedding day in a way we will never forget. When the time came for my sister to get married, it was already decided Henry needed to be a vendor for her special day too. We once again had a fabulous experience with Henry for her wedding, too! If you’re a couple looking for a videographer who’s kind, talented, caring, true, dedicated, professional, and want a wedding film that makes you relive every detail of your wedding day - I cannot recommend Henry enough. He is more than a videographer, and artist - he is your friend and will easily become your favorite wedding vendor. Thank you Henry for being part of our family’s weddings! From our very first meeting with Henry at Piximpress, we knew we were in great hands. He took the time to really get to know us as a couple and made us feel completely at ease. Henry walked us through his approach with clarity and care, and his attention to detail in planning our wedding video gave us total confidence leading up to the big day. On the day itself, Henry was a calming, unobtrusive presence—he blended in seamlessly while still managing to capture every heartfelt moment. He worked so smoothly with our other vendors and truly went above and beyond to make sure everything ran effortlessly. When we received our final videos, we were blown away. The way Henry pieced everything together was nothing short of artful—the pacing, music, emotions, and storytelling were all spot-on. Henry was by far one of our favorite vendors for our wedding. Hands down! Our wedding planning coordinated our first meeting, and I was really impressed (pun intended) with some of the sample videos of his that we viewed prior to our first conversation. I was also so excited to learn that he was Haitian like me! It made me feel that much more confident that we'd have someone who would handle our cultural nuances with care. From the first conversation, Henry was attentive, personable, and super professional. He was also great about breaking down payments into manageable chunks, and understanding if or when we were not immediately responsive to an inquiry or email (we were juggling a lot during the wedding planning process!) His questionnaires got us really talking and thinking about our vision for the big day and helped us hone in on what we wanted to highlight. Meeting Henry in person on the big day was like seeing an old friend for the first time in a while. I didn't feel insecure or nervous about his presence or the cameras rolling.... a little too comfortable because I remember at least one instance when I did something on film that was less than bridal lol, and he was kind enough to not use that footage! He was great with my family, and everyone was able to communicate with him freely in English and Creole. I only wish there was another event I could hire him for, he was such a pleasure to work with! Piximpress is definitely a 10 in my book!
