Absolutely. Aster Films is based in Texas and we frequently film weddings across the state and beyond. We are available for destination weddings worldwide. Events farther than 60 miles from our base typically include travel and reasonable lodging at cost.
Yes—we film elopements and micro-weddings. We offer simple weekday and short-coverage options, and we tailor the day to your timeline. If you’re planning a small celebration (usually 0–15 guests), reach out for pricing and availability. Travel outside Texas may include additional costs.
We recommend booking 8–12 months in advance, especially for spring and fall dates. If you’re planning quickly, reach out anyway—sometimes we have availability. Your date is reserved once we have a signed agreement and retainer.
Yes. Aster Films carries general liability insurance, and we can send a certificate to your venue or planner upon request.
Yes. We film outdoors in light rain and unexpected weather when it’s safe and the venue allows it. We bring protective covers and backup audio options, and we always build a wet-weather plan with you and your planner. If heavy rain or lightning makes filming unsafe, we pivot to covered locations and continue capturing your story.
Every film is edited in-house by Aster Films. We personally handle storytelling, color grading, sound design, and delivery to match our signature cinematic style. We do not outsource edits.
Yes, we offer same-day edits as an add-on when the timeline and staffing allow. It requires a dedicated editor and time set aside during the reception prep. We recommend at least two videographers and 8+ hours of coverage for a smooth same-day edit.
We deliver your film via a private link so you can choose who can view it. We never post your video publicly without your permission. With your approval, we may share select clips in our portfolio or social media.
It depends on your timeline and guest count. For intimate weddings or a single location, one videographer can work well. For most weddings we recommend two videographers so we can cover prep, details, multiple angles, and capture moments simultaneously. Larger or multi-location events benefit from a third.
