About A Lost Epic

A Lost Epic

Owner | Cinematographer

Hey, I'm Leah. I’m an independent wedding filmmaker serving laid-back, creative, non-traditional couples, primarily in NY/NJ. A filmmaker for couples and families that want to experience the moments as they unfold.

Embedded in the power of sentiment and memory, A Lost Epic’s approach to filmmaking, both on your wedding day and with your family, strives to be genuine, enduring, and considerate of what makes your story unique. You and I, we know that no day will be perfect, but that when imperfection is embraced, you begin to see that *it was always meant to be*. I am here for you, to provide just the right amount of intentional and unintentional film flow (with only a *few* corny jokes thrown in!)

Working with Leah for our wedding was as wonderful as I could have hoped. We had an instant feeling about her; even before meeting, there was such a gorgeous humanity and groundedness to her wedding videos that was so striking. And then the second we actually met, she immediately felt like a friend who understood us and would make us feel comfortable every step of the way. It was a no-brainer that we wanted to work with her. The Zoom calls prepping for the wedding were empowering to be so on the same page about the goals of the shoot. My husband and I were initially nervous about stage fright, or feeling like we’d need to “perform” when the cameras were around. But because of Leah’s energy and personality, that ended up never being a concern at all. On the day itself, Leah and her second shooter Stephanie were such an integral part of the whole intimate experience. We even posed together in the photo booth, which is a picture and memory I love now. I can’t recommend Leah highly enough!
