About this venue

Vrooman Mansion in Bloomington, Illinois can accommodate up to 75 seated guests for a more intimate ceremony and/or reception that is indoor or outdoor. Be amazed by the historic details of the mansion built in 1869, with it's beautiful sweeping staircase, stained glass windows, as well as the modern amenities you'd expect. Consider reserving our 7 rooms and suites for overnight accommodations for the wedding party before the event to relax onsite with confidence, and after the event to wind down. Our suites also provide ideal changing areas for the wedding party and capturing moments with your photographer. Our Carriage House is a luxurious choice for a honeymoon cottage that keeps you on property, yet privately tucked away when you want to be. We provide custom packages and choices: mimosa bars, cocktail receptions, family-style buffet, or plated formal dinners. The acoustics in the Main House will gently amplify our own piano or other acoustic musicians.

Vrooman Mansion - Entire Mansion

Your Day. Your Way. You Don't Have to Share.

We do not rent out the mansion to multiple couples at a time. If it's your day, it's YOUR day. Based on guest count, together we'll determine the ideal location for your ceremony or reception. If you have 30+ guests, the Reception Package includes exclusive use of the 1st & 2nd floors of the entire Mansion & Carriage House, all 7 guestrooms for up to 14 guests the night of the reception & gourmet breakfast the next morning. Keep the Carriage House for yourself for the ideal romantic experience!

Included in this room:

Inclusions are different whether you're doing a ceremony, reception, or both. With a reception, you receive a site visit, 6 hours of consulting, early arrival with places to get ready, chilled champagne for the couple, non-alcoholic beverages for all guests, all tables and chairs with set up and take down, place settings, flatware, glassware, servingware, napkins and tablecloths. After getting ready upstairs, picture yourself walking down our grand staircase with 1900 era stained glass windows and our antique piano setting the mood. Have your ceremony at the bay window inside our glamorous vintage parlor room, or outdoors in the garden. Prices are based on guest count. Lowest price is for less than 30 guests and does not include food or beverages. Taxes are not included in pricing, but will be added to your final invoice.
