Troop House

Special moments require intimately special places like Camp Inawendiwin's Troop House.

A historic gem, the Troop house is approximately 1,280 sq ft featuring a second floor balcony. The building has an indoor fireplace and a large open area for ceremonies or receptions. Girl Scout Troops use this building for camp, so it can hold a capacity of 50 mattresses and also has multiple bathrooms, a kitchen, central air, heat, and an outdoor cooking area. Handicap accessible ramps allow the whole family to be part of the celebration.

    From a Different Perspective

    As caterers, we often see events from a different perspective, and we had the pleasure of catering a truly special wedding at Vandy Hall at Camp Inawendiwin. Not only was the venue deeply meaningful to the couple, as it’s where their love story began, but it was also an exceptional location for catering. From the very start, the staff at Vandy Hall impressed us with their quick, efficient communication, which made planning and organizing a seamless experience. The venue itself has a charming, rustic feel that beautifully complements the surrounding natural landscape, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere for guests. What really sets Vandy Hall apart is its on-site full kitchen, which is a rarity among venues. This made our setup and service far more efficient. The venue also offered us the flexibility to set up tents for cocktail hour if needed, adding a great level of versatility. The space was impeccably clean, and the team was an absolute pleasure to collaborate with throughout the wedding day. Their willingness to accommodate our needs helped us bring the couple’s vision to life effortlessly. We couldn’t have asked for a better venue to work with, and we highly recommend Vandy Hall for any event.

    Camp Inawendiwin is truly a gem

    We have had the pleasure of photographing multiple weddings at Camp Inawendiwin, and every time, it feels like a true getaway vacation. The stunning natural beauty and exceptional facilities create a perfect blend of rustic charm and comfort. The grounds are well maintained, and it’s hard to take a bad image with such a great backdrop of the water. The staff is incredibly welcoming and attentive, ensuring every detail is taken care of with the utmost professionalism. Being surrounded by such an amazing environment makes each visit a joy and a unique experience.     GREAT location!!!

    Where else can you rent the entire camp??? Such a wonderful location with a beautiful lake with stunning views, an amphitheater for a ceremony, fire pits and cabins? This is the perfect venue for weddings and any other event! You can also work with Summit Catering- South Jersey’s best caterer!!

We do NOT accept bookings during the peak season: mid-June through August. Camp Inawendiwin is an operating Girl Scouts camp, so we welcome weddings and celebrations when the property isn't being used by Girl Scouts.

Yes, all our facilities are wheelchair accessible. We also have ramps to access buildings and the grounds have many level pathways.
Our standard rental is for use of Vandy Hall for set up, 4 hours of celebrating, and clean up. This rental also includes use of 20 round tables, 15 high tops and basic white tablecloths and covers for these. We also have 250 metal chairs. We do no have glassware, flatware, or china to offer. While we do not have in-house rentals, we do have local vendor recommendations for lighting, sound, catering, photography, video, DJs, party equipment, magicians, bands, and more.
Your reservation includes four hours of celebration, plus the reasonable time it takes to set up and clean up. Contact us to discuss billing for additional hours.
Our venue is insured, but you will need to provide a Certificate of Insurance to Girl Scouts of Central and Southern NJ as a rider to your Homeowners Insurance or Event Insurance for the event. If you employ event staff or use rented vehicles (limousines or catering vehicles) on the premises, the follow additional forms of coverage also need to be evidenced by a Certificate of Insurance: a. Worker's Compensation and Employee Liability b. Commercial Automobile Liability for owned, non-owned, and hired cars with minimum limits of $1,000,000 combined single limit for bodily injury and property damage.
Yes! Camp Inawendiwin is an operational Girl Scouts camp. Our accommodations are rustic and mostly dorm style with shared bathrooms and showers. Troop House can fit 50 mattresses and Lakeside can fit 30. We have additional sites for 30 more people for another $500 if you need even more space. Inquire directly for details about staying overnight at Camp Inawendiwin.
The nearest major airport is Philadelphia International (PHL) at 40 miles. We are also 42 miles from Atlantic City International Airport (ACY) and about 75 miles from Newark International Airport (EWR). Private transportation is the best way to reach us at Lake Tabernacle, NJ.
