About this venue
The Whitehall Armory is a historic National Guard armory building located at Whitehall in Washington County, New York. It is a brick and stone castle-like structure built in 1899, designed to be reminiscent of medieval military structures in Europe. It was designed by State Architect Isaac G. Perry. It consists of a 2-story, hip-roofed administration building with an attached gable-roofed drill shed. The administration building features a 5-story octagonal tower and a 3+1⁄2-story round tower. We’ve spent countless hours restoring The Whitehall Armory. Now, it sits proudly as a unique home and special resource for the community. We welcome inquiries for private and public events and overnight stays. Contact us for details.

The Whitehall Castle made our wedding day feel like a fairytale. From our first conversation, the team was engaging and genuinely excited to help us plan our event. Having a coordinator on staff was invaluable—he kept everything running smoothly and handled all the details so we could focus on celebrating with our loved ones. The venue itself is stunning with its antique charm and spacious ceremony and reception areas, all kept immaculate. We also rented their getting ready rooms for the evening, which gave us and our wedding party a comfortable space to prepare.
