About this venue

Hi - I'm Kelli. My husband, Nic, and I turned our forever home into this dream wedding venue. We call Cheney, KS home and had so many people asking if they could have their wedding on our property that we couldn't say no. We wanted an elegant barn venue that allowed couples to make it their own. Located in Cheney, KS, The White Barn is an elegant barn-style wedding venue. Situated approximately 20 minutes from Wichita, this destination is convenient to both urban and countryside excursions. With beauty that is accentuated by a three-acre pond, this property is an ideal backdrop for any special celebration.

Description

Venue open from 12pm-Midnight on day of rental ​ Deposit to secure your date: $2,000 ncludes one overnight stay in bridal suite and/or the Groom's Room. Eliminates hotel cost, can sleep 16-18 people between the two structures. Also allows the option to have rehearsal and rehearsal dinner on site. ​

    Great Venue!

    The White Barn was the perfect venue for our wedding. From the very first interaction, their communication was clear, pleasant, responsive, and knowledgeable, putting us at ease throughout the planning process. The venue itself was absolutely beautiful, both inside and out, providing a clean and custom space that felt safe and comfortable for our friends and family to celebrate with us. We had an amazing time creating special memories in this stunning setting. The White Barn truly exceeded our expectations and we would HIGHLY recommend them to any couple looking for a wonderful wedding venue.

To reserve your date you will need to agree on a date with the venue, fill out a contract, and make a non-refundable deposit. This can all be done electronically. We accept payments by cash, money order, Venmo, or PayPal.
In order to secure your desired date, a $2,000 non-refundable deposit is due upon signing the contract. Without a deposit, your desired date cannot be secured.
Your final payment is due 90 days before your event. In the event that payment is not received by the due date, your reserved spot will be lost and made available to another couple.
Tours are by appointment only. We would love to show you the venue & property, and discuss the details of your event.
For single day events you get twelve hours, from noon to midnight. For multi-day rentals the venue is available from noon on day 1, until midnight on day 2. For a full-weekend rentals the venue is open to you from Friday at noon until Sunday morning at 11am. This includes time for set-up, take-down, and your event. If there are no other reserved events at The White Barn the day prior to your event, we can arrange to open up earlier, however, this is not a guarantee.
Yes, both.
Yes, you are able to bring in any vendor you would like. The caterer and bartenders must be licensed and insured.
If you are wanting to serve alcohol at your event you must hire a licensed and insured company. We do allow you to bring in your own alcohol but again it must served by a licensed and insured company. ​
You are allowed access to the barn when your contracted time starts. When your time block starts, we will have set your tables and chairs so the room will be ready for you. If you need to be in the day before for any reason, you will need to do the two day or full weekend rental. ​
You are responsible for decorating for the event. The White Barn will provide the setup of tables + chairs for the event.

60” Round Tables will be provided for guests and rectangular tables provided for bridal party + catering.
No. You will need to bring in your own linens, tableware, etc. We can help point you towards some awesome vendors to rent from. Chairs will be nice so no need for chair covers unless you want them.
Rehearsal time is included in the two-day rental + weekend rentals. For single day rentals we suggest rehearsing off-site prior to the day of your event. The best way to guarantee access the day before for the rehearsal and decorating is with the two-day or full weekend rental.
Yes! If you rented for a two-day rental or full-weekend you are more than welcome to use the space to your benefit.
The White Barn will set up and break down the tables + chairs for your event. We only ask that you have cleaned up after your event.

Yes, if alcohol will be served. We recommend an off-duty police officer from Cheney Police Department. They are $25/hr. Contact them by calling (316) 542-3173.
The Quarters has a large living space + two bedrooms where groomsmen can get ready. However, there is not a separate dedicated space for groomsmen. Many of our bridal parties share the large space provided by The Quarters since it is two-levels, has two bedrooms upstairs, has a large living space with a TV, and has access to the patio.
Yes, caterers can utilize the full-sized kitchen in The Quarters for prepping food.
