Your experience was far from the standards we set for ourselves, and I’m grateful you took the time to explain it. I’ll reach out to you directly, but wanted to respond here as well. I know nothing can undo what happened—you get one wedding day, and it has passed—but I hope hearing our perspective and sincere apologies offers some comfort. Communication issues: I’ve reviewed all our emails and texts. If questions went unanswered, it was not for lack of effort but likely misunderstanding. The DJ missing your meeting and the florist not responding were both things we should have known about and acted on. We didn’t, and that’s unacceptable. Your feedback has prompted me to improve communication systems so this doesn’t happen again. We truly believed things were going smoothly, and I wish we’d known sooner so we could intervene. Rehearsal mix-up: This remains the biggest mystery. I cannot find records of us confirming a rehearsal during another scheduled wedding, which would never have been possible. If you have documentation, I’d truly appreciate seeing it so I can trace how this miscommunication happened. Regardless, if Ema came across as sharp, I apologize. That day was already high-stress with a wedding in progress, but that doesn’t excuse how you felt treated. Coordinator relationship: I’m also sorry you and Ema weren’t a good fit and that we didn’t recognize it soon enough to step in. She connects well with most people, but no one connects with everyone, and in hindsight we should have shifted you to me. With your short planning window—just over 1.5 months—it was harder to see the mismatch in time. I regret not noticing, and I’m sorry this added to your frustration. Please know we truly cared about you and your wedding, even if our performance didn’t convey it. I am relieved that, despite the challenges, your DJ delivered, your florist did a beautiful job, and your wedding was full of love and wonderful memories. My hope is that, as time goes on, those happy memories overshadow the stress leading up to the day, and that your marriage begins with joy and strength.
