Welcome to The Mackey House, Savannah’s premier estate for celebrations, gatherings, and life’s most meaningful occasions. Established by the Mackey family in 1997, our private lakeside estate offers a serene, thoughtfully curated setting just minutes from downtown Savannah. From the main house and veranda to the surrounding gardens and beautifully appointed pavilion, each space flows seamlessly to create an experience rooted in timeless Southern charm. Nestled directly adjacent to the pavilion, this unique outdoor terrace is the premier spot on the property for guests to mingle during a lively cocktail hour. The space features a bricked patio centered around the reverse side of a majestic double-sided fireplace, keeping the ambiance cozy as day turns to night. Adding an element of natural architectural wonder, an elevated wooden deck elegantly encircles a massive, mature magnolia tree. It provides a relaxed, multi-level layout for high-top tables, welcoming guests to sip champagne, enjoy small plates, and take in panoramic views of the estate.

This 4,200+ square foot space, also is a great rain backup plan in inclement weather.

Overall, the Mackey House Venue is everything everyone says it is- incredible! I had such a beautiful wedding thanks to the Mackey House venue and staff, and if I were to plan my wedding all over again, I would pick the Mackey House again with no hesitation. I actually would recommend this venue to everybody I know! Although the venue itself is absolutely gorgeous and stunning, my overflowing gratitude belongs to the perfectly curated team. Stephen was so warm and welcoming when we first inquired about the venue. He was kind, patient, and transparent when answering our unending questions and concerns. We gave him our budget and he made sure it worked with what the Mackey House had to offer. He was also a wonderful tour guide when we first visited the venue! Shelley was so amazing to communicate with once we decided to go with the Mackey House! She continued answering our questions throughout the process and gave us amazing advice. She was very accommodating and her knowledge and experience in this industry really shines in everything she says! Dave was an incredible DJ! He was so so fun and everybody loved him! He's got a great sense of humor and an amazing heart. While planning with him, he gave us amazing advice on things not even related to the DJ stuff, and it was great! He was also super adaptable when we took a little too long making our rounds and we greatly appreciated it. Hannah and the bartenders did an amazing job with the drinks, everybody loved them! Communication with Hannah was clear and concise and she made everything so easy! The drinks stayed flowing the whole night and I cannot be more thankful!! Denise did AMAZING with the decorations! My communication with her was last minute and I honestly didn't contribute much input because I wasn't sure what I wanted, but Denise truly had everything under control. Everything looked gorgeous and was more beautiful than I could have imagined! I am forever grateful to the entirety of the Mackey House staff for making our wedding so amazing and unforgettable.
