About this venue

The Grand is a wedding and event venue in Lake Wylie, SC, about 30 minutes from Uptown Charlotte. A timber-frame hall has been restored beam by beam into something neither ballroom nor barn: warm wood, brass, candlelight and crystal chandeliers over a herringbone dance floor. Your celebration is the only event on the property, with 10 hours of exclusive use plus an hour for cleanup. Say your vows by our 1.5-acre pond and fountain, on The Terrace, or indoors, then enjoy cocktails on the deck or in The Cellar, our speakeasy-style lounge. Dinner and dancing for up to 250 guests happen in the Grand Hall. Getting ready is easy in the bridal suite and groom's lounge. We are venue-only: bring any licensed caterer and vendors. BYOB with professional bar service. Tables, chairs, parking and a catering prep area are included. Month-of coordination available. Taxes included. Tours by appointment.

Ceremony, dinner and dancing can all happen here without flipping the room, so it is also the rain plan for outdoor ceremonies. Includes a built-in bar. Indoor, up to 250 guests.

The Cellar

A hidden speakeasy beneath the Grand Hall with stone columns, amber light and a full bar.

Tucked beneath the Grand Hall, The Cellar feels like a hidden speakeasy. It has rich wood, stone columns, soft amber light, lounge seating and a full bar. It works for cocktail hour, a rehearsal dinner, a shower, an intimate ceremony or a quiet last chapter of the night. Indoor, lower level.

No. Taxes are included, and there are no cleaning, setup, minimum-spend or convenience fees. The only possible extra is a card-processing fee if you pay by credit card. You can avoid it by paying by check or cash.
Ten hours of exclusive use plus one hour of cleanup. By default the event ends at 10pm, with cleanup finished by the end of your contract time. Extra time can be added.
The whole property for the day: the Grand Hall, The Cellar, The Terrace, the grounds, the bridal suite and groom's lounge. It also includes tables and chairs, on-site parking with an attendant, a catering prep area, a one-hour rehearsal and a venue manager on site.
The Grand Hall and The Cellar are beautiful indoor settings for ceremonies and receptions. We'll walk through the backup plan with you well before the day.
Yes. Month-of coordination is available as an add-on. A coordinator is required for the rehearsal and wedding day, and you're welcome to bring your own professional instead.
