The perfect day!!
The gala went above and beyond for my wedding and I recommend it to anyone getting married in the area. Food was great, staff was great, and it’s a gorgeous location!
More than a wedding venue..
The Gala 417 exceeded our expectations as a wedding venue. The elegant ambiance, attentive staff, and impeccable attention to detail made our special day truly unforgettable. During our first meeting with Amberly, so much stress was lifted off of our shoulders related to planning and we quickly realized this was more than just a wedding venue. The staff not only love their jobs, they are SO GOOD at it- from the many steps in planning, all the way to execution, they pull it off seamlessly and flawlessly. They truly have everything you need in their rental collection, and they have an amazing lineup of preferred vendors to chose from if you wish. Lyndsey was our day of coordinator and she ensured our rehearsal was quick, productive, and laid back. She was so calm the entire wedding day and ironed out all wrinkles before my husband and I even knew they were there. You want her by your side on your wedding day, trust me! Mariah helped me with my bustle and fixed it again when my dad stepped on it and ripped it. She and Lyndsey also decorated my cake when I realized I ordered it undecorated.... The food was absolutely amazing! My family and friends raved about it after the wedding. I seriously have been craving it and wish they had their waygu beef sliders on doordash. I would HIGHLY recommend this amazing venue for weddings or any other events!

We booked The Gala 417 for our wedding, and it was one of the best decisions we made. The venue is absolutely beautiful, and the food is delicious, but the best aspect of this venue is definitely the staff. The owners and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout the planning process. We loved how accommodating they were from the very beginning. You can tell they want your day to be exactly how you envision it. They were so flexible with the food menu, drink options, and decorations. For instance, the bride wanted to create an elaborate dessert table because she runs her own baking business. The staff helped make the bride’s wish happen. We dropped all the desserts off at the venue in the morning, and they had the dessert display set up perfectly for the reception. On our wedding day, the staff took care of every detail and ensured that the ceremony and reception ran smoothly. We like being prepared and organized, so we really appreciated how well coordinated everything was. After the ceremony, the staff quickly flipped the room for the reception, setting up tables, centerpieces, and other decorations. If there were any issues that day, we never heard about them because the staff is that good. Our wedding was a perfect day, and The Gala 417 is a major reason for that. We could not have booked a better venue. We cannot thank you enough for taking care of our guests and us on the best day of our lives!
Classy and Professional
As a DJ I find The Gala 417 a fantastic venue to work at for a couple big reasons: 1. They have a great staff that goes the extra mile in serving their clients. 2. The venue itself has such a classy vibe! 3. They give me all the time I need to set up (wink-wink) Highly recommend this venue to any couple planning a wedding in Hampton Roads!
