Yes, there is parking at our beach location (Smathers Beach) as well as the marina (Downtown Historic Seaport 201 William Street) where the boats are docked.

What’s your cancellation policy?

Accepted Answer

There is a 30- day notice of cancellation for a full refund minus the non refundable deposit. If the Captain or Coast Guard find in unfit to go out, we will have the party in the beautiful air -conditioned main cabin. If the trip is not able to happen due to an event that prohibits traveling to and from Key West, you will receive a full refund. Otherwise, once payments are made, they become non-refundable, no other cancellations are honored.

You may bring children on the boat we have no age minimum.

Will the staff be in a uniform?

Accepted Answer

Yes, their uniform consists of a white crew neck shirt or a polo with the Sunset Watersport’s logo on it.

What boat has a sit-down dinner option?

Accepted Answer

The Party cat is the only boat with an enclosed cabin that can seat 54 people at tables. Our other boats the Sandie cat, Miss Lora, and Miss Valyn are open air vesicles and are more of the cocktail and appetizer happy hour package.

What is served for food on the Sandie Cat, Miss Valyn, and Miss Lora?

What is the required deposit for a beach ceremony?

There is a $200 nonrefundable deposit to secure the date. The $200 goes towards the price of the package.

Is there a required deposit to hold a boat?

Accepted Answer

Yes, there is a $750 non refundable deposit to secure the boat.

Can you help us with things outside your packages e.g., booking hotels, and restaurant reservations?

We are happy to give suggestions, but we are not a wedding planning service. We can give you the number to one of the islands best wedding planners to take care of anything outside of our packages.

Do you offer receptions at the beach?

We do not offer receptions at the beach. It is a public beach, and no one is allowed to hold receptions there. We do all our receptions on our fleet of catamarans.

What is the Onsite Ceremony Coordinator in the beach ceremony package?

The On-site Ceremony Coordinator is a person that knows our wedding setup and has worked with us to perfect the flow of a ceremony. They are the person in charge of greeting guests, playing music, and directing walking parties should you have one. The On-site ceremony coordinator will call you 7 days prior to the ceremony to touch base and introduce themselves and get a sense of any special instructions. They are not a wedding planner

Do you have photographers ?

We don't staff or book photography. We have a number of photographers we can refer you to so you can choose your level of service based on your budget.

Do you obtain our marriage license?

We cannot obtain your marriage license; you will need to go down to the courthouse with your significant other and present a form of identification to the court administrator to obtain a license. The Address is 500 Whitehead Street.

What is the trolley service that is included in the Ultimate Beach Package?

The trolley service is a private ride on the town trolley for up to 37 people. Our package takes you from the beach down to our boats for a reception on or to the reception area of your choice. You get 1 hour included in the package.

Is there a payment system?

Accepted Answer

Payments are collected automatically from the card on file. 60 days prior to the charter half of the balance remaining will be collected. Then, 30 days prior to the charter the remining balance will be collected. This is the point when all final details will be worked to ensure all payments are collected.

Final headcount is needed when the last payment is due 30 days prior to the event.

What is the Boat Coordinator?

The Boat Coordinator acts as the intermediary between the captain, crew, and head of charter. You can provide a timeline of events that this person will carry out. Their duties are specific to the charter.

What are tax and gratuity rates?

A base gratuity of 15% is automatically calculated in for the Captain and Crew. There will be a tip jar on the bar as well. Tips are a large percentage of how people survive on the island.

What is the boarding process?

All guests must check in at the201 William Street location to sign the Coast Guard manifest. About 15minutes before the charter departure the captain or a crew member will come to the check in location to bring everyone aboard the boat.

When do we need to arrive?

Check in for the boat is 30 minutes prior to departure time. This will ensure we get the Coast Guard manifest signed, safety briefing complete, and depart at the time outlined on the contract.

Food on the Party Cat is a buffet style. Food on the Sandie Cat, Miss Lora, and Miss Valyn are served on a table and are a serve yourself style.

They are included with food items that need them.

We do not have cakes or handle cakes. You are more than welcome to bring your own cakes on board, but we have had a few incidents in the past and do not involve ourselves with the cake process anymore.

You may decorate the boat keeping in mind we may experience some wind out on the water. All decorations are to be handled by the chartering party. Decorations can be done the day of the charter when the boat gets back in from its daily trips which is 4pm.-All decorations and items need to be collected after the charter ends. We do not take responsibility for items left on the boat.
