Storm King Mountain Ranch is a luxury Colorado wedding and event venue located on the western slope of Colorado, only ten miles from Montrose and one hour from Telluride. A newly constructed barn nestled on 192 private acres, Storm King is a hidden gem combining the beauty of nature with the sophistication of the city. You can expect a blend of spectacular scenery, modern rustic amenities and genuine personalized service. Hosting a wide variety of events, we are the perfect venue to continue your story of love and adventure. And our property is simply stunning. Imagine yourself walking under the romantic bistro lighting along the tree lined walkway leading to our front door or taking in the meticulous craftsmanship inside our main hall with vaulted ceilings covered in rustic wood planks and modern chandeliers. Storm King Mountain Ranch will make all your wedding day dreams come true. Our wedding day was above and beyond what what we imagined. Everything was clean and gorgeous and went so smoothly. The venue owners do everything in their power to make your day truly YOURS. They are there for whatever you need. The venue will truly take your breath away. We have had the pleasure of photographing a wedding on site at Storm King Mountain Ranch and it was perfect. Jenny and her team are amazing, kind, and helpful. As a previous venue owner myself, I know what it takes to run smooth events and they do exactly that. The property itself is gorgeous. Everything is super clean, modern, with the most beautiful views of the San Juan’s. The barn is new and has a rustic chic vibe. There is plenty of space for everyone. The getting ready suite is beautiful and neutral which makes it easy for getting ready photos. We are looking forward to photographing more weddings there soon! We recommend to many of our couples.

Yes. Renters are allowed to bring in the alcohol of their choosing or have it delivered by a distributor they choose to work with.

Yes, we have a large parking lot on site with handicap accessible parking as well.

Yes, all our facilities are wheelchair accessible.

Our standard reservation includes twelve hours, from 11am-11pm. We do offer a special rental package for our micro wedding and elopement couples that allows for shorter rental periods at a discounted price.

Yes, we require all renters to present us with proof of special event insurance 30 days before your event. You can get a policy online from places like WedSure, WedSafe, and EventHelper.

Yes! We allow dogs for the ceremony only with approval prior to your event day. Dogs must be on a leash at all times while on site and must leave the property following the ceremony.

Currently we do not require a planner or day of coordinator in order to book your event with us. We have a list of wedding coordinators we are happy to recommend but we do not work with anyone exclusively. If you choose to hire a planner, we believe you should be able to choose who fits your personality and budget!

At Storm King Mountain Ranch, we only host one event each day to ensure that each event receives our full attention and has complete access to our entire property.

You have a twelve hour rental period for all standard events, from 11am-11pm. We do offer the option for early entry, available by request.

Yes! We have a special weekday rental option for our micro wedding and elopement couples with 50 guests or less. This package comes at a discounted price from our standard rental with options ranging from 5-10 hours.
