Working Cattle Ranch nestled at the base of Ragged Mountain above Paonia Reservoir in Somerset, Colorado, our ranch offers stunning views and a spacious barn, perfect for your next event. In a Beautiful Secluded Area, we offer everything you need to make your special day unforgettable: a stunning venue with picturesque scenery, a horse-drawn carriage, tables, chairs, ivory linens, burlap and lace table runners, elegant decorations, dinnerware, a spacious dance floor, a food prep area, and ice. Your guests are welcome to dry camp overnight at the ranch, and we also provide unique lodging in our beautifully renovated barn and cabins.     Incredible Setting and Accommodations

    Ragged Mountain Events was an absolute dream venue for our wedding. From the moment we first reached out, Steve and Rhonda were in constant contact, guiding us through every step with kindness and open communication. The quality of their work was absolutely stunning - the rustic, natural beauty of the venue was the perfect backdrop for our special day. As we were their first wedding, they bent over backwards to bring in additional facilities and finish the buildings to make it a truly special experience for us. Steve and Rhonda are some of the best people we've ever had the pleasure of working with, and we are so grateful for their compassion and organization in making our wedding day absolutely perfect. Because of where we are located in the mountains, we are available June through mid-October.
Yes, client is responsible for providing liquor and/or drinks. All liquor must be overseen by a TIPS Certified Bartender.
Yes, we have plenty of parking for the event. We also provide rides to the barn for those that might need a little extra help.
Yes, the barn and ceremony site are wheelchair accessible. The area is gravel and hay meadows.
Decorations, linens, table runners, tables, chairs, drink dispensers, plates, silverware, ice machine, bar, dance floor, sound, benches, arches, heaters, whiskey barrel tables, candles, vases, roasters, full kitchen and lodging - 2 bedroom guest suite in barn and 3 cabins.
Your reservation begins at noon the day before the event and concludes at noon the day after.
In the event of a cancellation of a special event or wedding, all deposits are non-refundable. We understand that sometimes it is necessary to change or cancel a reservation. We cannot refund any advance payment for a canceled reservation unless the venue is re-rented for the entire period and prepayment has cleared. We will make every effort to re-book the venue; however, if it is not re-booked, you forfeit all monies paid. If a cancellation is successfully re-rented, all of the rent, taxes and damage/security deposit will be refunded, less a $500 cancellation fee.

Yes, client shall maintain Commercial General Liability Insurance including Host Liquor liability, in an amount not less than $2,000,000 Combined Single Limit for Bodily Injury and Property Damage. This usually costs $100-$150 for the the 3 day event policy.
Yes, you are welcome to bring your own food, catered, food truck, etc.
