About this venue

Get married under a Cathederal of Trees in our Fairy Garden or Classic Pergola. Stonegate Manor is a quiet, elegant, garden estate located between St. Joseph's beach community and Benton Harbor's art district. Lake Michigan is 7 minutes across the street! The moment you enter through the stone gates you will see all the natural beauty and the lovingly restored Victorian Manor House built in 1847. Start your day as early as 8am in the charming carriage house. You have the luxury of two reception spaces; the outdoor Estate Tent and indoor (air conditioned) Riverside Room. Inviting elegance, for a touch of fancy and just the right amount of outdoor fun.

Dine and dance in air-conditioned comfort under the warm glow of waterfall string lights and modern chandeliers. Four sets of French doors open unto the wrap around porch and tented outdoor lawn. This flow from indoors to outdoors and back, gives the sense of a grand space without boundaries. This inviting elegant room has white walls, floral accents, a grand statement beverage bar, and beautiful powder rooms.

Description

All of the amenities of both the indoor Riverside Reception Room and Estate Tent that can be found on our Friday and Saturday packages. Sunday Receptions begin at 12pm and end at 10pm. The Wedding Cottage does open at 8am should you want to do your hair and makeup on-site.

5-hour rental of the Manor House and Estate grounds + 1-hour rehearsal time + 1-hour to set-up personal decor + choice of 2 outdoor ceremony sites + officiant + bouquet(s) or boutonniere(s) for couple + Speaker for processional music + Wedding cake. Packages for up to 50 guests. Additional guests (up to 60 are $50 per person).

    We are so glad that we discovered Stonegate Manor for our small family ceremony! To start, it is so close to Lake Michigan. We were able to get a photo op at the beach in our casual clothes before the ceremony. Then when we arrived at Stonegate, there was plenty of space in the beautiful manor house for us to change into our ceremony outfits. And speaking of photo ops, the grounds are beautiful and have tons of options for beautiful backdrops. We chose the Fairy Garden as our location, and since we were planning our wedding on a very short timeline, we didn’t have any extra decorations. We didn’t need them! It was the perfect secluded spot for us to say our vows with our family members, both human and canine (did we mention Stonegate is dog friendly?!). As I mentioned, we were planning our wedding with only about a month’s notice, and at first we thought that we’d just go to the courthouse. We can’t say how glad we are that we chose Stonegate instead. While we wanted the day to be a casual, stress free event, we also wanted it to be special and memorable. Having an elopement package that includes flowers, cake and other extras eliminated planning stress and decision fatigue, and Prudy is so easy to work with and was able to accommodate the requests we did have to make the day uniquely ours. If you are planning on having your wedding at Stonegate Manor, expect personalized customer service, consistent communication, and a warm welcome when you arrive for your big day.

    We absolutely LOVED our small wedding at Stonegate Manor! Due to Covid, our wedding day and venue as initially planned were canceled. I found Stonegate Manor four days in advance of our ceremony. Thank you Prudy (the owner) for making it such a beautiful and easy experience! Prudy was extremely accommodating with our requests and the price was very reasonable. Also, they provided a very nice wedding officiant that made the process easy. The property is gorgeous and as a result our photos turned out stunning. Honestly when I tell friends that we found Stonegate Manor four days before our ceremony and they see our photos they are shocked. Thank you!!!!! <3
