About this venue

Motivo LA is a boutique, multi-functional event space and dance studio located in the Atwater Village neighborhood of Los Angeles. It is widely recognized for its vintage, Art Deco-inspired aesthetic and high-quality "floating" hardwood floors. The main event hub featuring floating hickory hardwood floors (designed to reduce impact on joints), 6-foot tall mirrors, and high ceilings with dimmable crystal pendants and RGB lighting.

The Venue

A Yamaha C6 Grand Piano sits in the ballroom, available for live ceremony music or cocktail hour performances.

The Ballroom at Motivo LA is the venue's "crown jewel." It is a 3,200-square-foot space designed to feel like a high-end, vintage salon rather than a sterile studio. The ceiling is adorned with dimmable crystal pendants that provide a warm, elegant glow. It also features a customizable RGB LED system to wash the walls in your specific wedding colors.

The Studio

Because it is a separate, contained space, it’s an ideal spot to tuck away a photo booth and props without cluttering the main event aesthetic.

While the Ballroom is the main attraction, The Studio (often referred to as the "Small Room") is the vital supporting space for any wedding or large event at Motivo LA. The Studio houses an upright piano, which can be used for rehearsals or as a secondary warm-up instrument. One wall is fully mirrored, which is why it’s also the go-to spot for private dance lessons or small group rehearsals (max capacity for dance is about 4-6 people).
