    The perfect wedding chapel

    We recently hosted our wedding at this charming chapel in Powhatan, Virginia, and it was everything we hoped for and more! The intimate setting made our day feel incredibly personal and special, perfect for a smaller guest list without sacrificing elegance. The chapel itself is beautiful, with a warm and inviting atmosphere that didn’t require much additional decoration. We also loved the bridal suite and grooms room! Both spaces were thoughtfully designed, comfortable, and spacious enough for our wedding party to get ready. It was great getting the property for the whole weekend giving us the opportunity to set up, rehearse, and enjoy the entire weekend! For couples wanting a relaxed, intimate celebration, this venue creates a truly special and memorable setting.

    Rehearsal Dinner

    My wife and I had our rehearsal dinner here and couldn’t have been more pleased. Between the MSJF folks being wonderful to work with, access to the house for event setup, and the beautiful setting, it was the perfect venue choice.

    Wonderful place to get married

    We had our wedding at Michaux-St. James Foundation and it was the perfect venue for us. From the start, they made everything simple and clear to understand, which took a lot of stress out of the planning process. What really set them apart was giving us full weekend access, so we could customize the space exactly how we wanted it. The historic and quaint setting created such a lovely backdrop for our celebration, and our guests couldn't stop talking about how special the location felt. The staff kept things relaxed and friendly throughout, making us feel like we were in good hands. We would absolutely recommend Michaux-St. James Foundation to any couple looking for a unique and beautiful place to get married.
