About this venue

Perched atop a hill in Jefferson, Texas, the Schluter Mansion has been turning heads since 1856. Its storied walls have witnessed generations come and go, yet the feeling you get when you first lay eyes on it—a mix of wonder and reverence—remains unchanged. Proudly listed on both the National and Texas Registries of Historic Places, this architectural gem blends the elegance of a bygone era with a bold, unique twist. Inside, the owners have lovingly curated a space where moody maximalism meets original 1856 furnishings, creating a rich tapestry of past and present. Remarkably, Amanda and Glen Limoges are only the fifth owners in nearly 170 years. Now for the first time ever, this private family home is opening its doors and inviting you to step into history and craft your own unforgettable memories.

With space to host both an intimate ceremony and a separate seated reception for up to 200 guests, the garden transforms with ease. Twinkling fairy lights overhead and a fragrant jasmine wall set the scene for a celebration that’s as spacious as it is romantic.

This rate is for a 6 hour block and additional time can be added for $250/hr, if needed. You may choose your time block between 10 AM-10 PM.

    From the moment we booked Eerie Ever After Events for our wedding, we knew we were in good hands. Their communication style is direct, detail-focused, and always prompt, which was incredibly reassuring during the planning process. The quality of their work and value they provide is unparalleled - they have a large, versatile event space in a historic building that allowed us to truly customize our wedding vision. I had to step back from the planning process about halfway through, but Amanda and her team didn't miss a beat, creating handmade, curated decor that perfectly captured the vibe I wanted.
