About this venue
Nestled up against the Colorado foothills, Chatfield Farms offers unique outdoor spaces and venues for a relaxed, nature-filled wedding day. Start the big day at one of our multiple cozy and historic getting ready spaces, including a fully furnished Yurt. Say “I do” surrounded by aspens and wildflowers at our large, yet secluded outdoor wedding ceremony chapel with a backdrop of the foothills. Have your cocktail hour under a mature cottonwood tree strung with twinkling lights on our Prairie Garden Terrace. Then make your way to one of three reception sites-Borgen Family Market Square, Mandelbaum Family Stables or the Green Family Barn, each with its own unique style. All venues offer indoor and outdoor vibes and dancing under the stars. Tables and Chairs are included with every rental site; quantities can vary depending on venue capacities.

Mandelbaum Family Stables
Bring the Gardens inside your reception
The Stables is an indoor/outdoor venue featuring large sliding barn doors that open out to a large grassy lawn, creating a beautiful natural backdrop. The large, covered reception space is brought to life with its retractable walls, allowing natural views and curated garden beds to blend seamlessly with the interior. The lighting consists of rustic chandeliers with edison bulbs, market lights and trees just outside of the venue lit up with warm white string lights, creating a romantic ambiance.

Historic red barn with foothills views and warm and cozy vibes
Cozy and rustic red barn that offers timeless countryside charm. ‘The Barn’ has a market light covered front patio that you can use for a magical cocktail hour and/or as your dance floor for dance parties under the stars. The large front lawn can be utilized for ceremonies immersed in nature, lawn games, or tenting to accommodate larger guest counts. Located just next to the venue is a side garden with an historic silo and lots of wood features to make for a cozy and intimate wedding reception.

Outdoor food truck venue with a tent and lawn for cocktail hour
‘Market Square’ is an outdoor open space highlighting the beauty of Colorado’s outdoors. This venue features a center lawn space with a built-in tent strung with twinkle lights adding a dreamy feel to your reception. Located just feet away from the tent is a ramada which makes for a perfect covered stage for a live band or DJ. The lawn is connected to brick pavers that allow you to bring in a food truck! Market Square is great for a laid-back outdoor wedding reception or celebration.

Also featuring a trellis with climbing florals and a long aisle cut through the center of the lawn space leading up to a wooden gazebo, this space creates stunning views to enhance you and your partners special moment.

Beautiful Venue!
The Denver Botanic Gardens - Chatfield Farms is a beautiful venue! It is well worth the cost and supports a great organization. We had our wedding here at the end of May, at the Green Farm Barn (which is actually the red barn) in the back. We got to have an indoor/outdoor wedding, with our ceremony outside next to the barn, and our reception inside the barn. The grounds at Chatfield Farms are large so it felt very private and secluded, even with another wedding happening nearby at the gardens. The team at the DBG was so flexible and very responsive throughout our planning process and really worked well with us to make our vision happen. They even provided lawn games when we forgot to tell our coordinate that we had them in one of our cars lol. You get a lot of space to work with for the price, and the events team is very accommodating not only for your wedding vision, but also for any accessibility needs you may need for your guests! Highly recommend this venue.

Chatfield Farms!
Denver Botanic Gardens, Chatfield Farms was the perfect choice for my daughter's June, 2026 wedding! It is the most beautiful and photogenic setting, and it easily/comfortably accommodated our guests (about 135, although they can easily seat more). Abby was our on-site planner and was professional, knowledgeable, responsive and easy to work with throughout the year of planning and until the moment we left the venue at the end of an exceptional wedding day! Highly Recommend!
