Step into history at our beautifully restored Art Deco event space. Featuring 6,550 square feet of elegant venue area, this landmark building served as a JC Penney from 1912 to 1989. We provide a unique backdrop that blends vintage architectural charm with modern amenities, ensuring your celebration is both timeless and sophisticated. Open floor plan in a historic and elegant space.

The main space of our venue is open floor and includes a dance floor. We also have mezzanine areas upstairs on both west and east sides of the building with a bridal suite and groom dressing area. Bridal suite has it's own restrooms. Other restrooms are on the main floor with multiple stalls with changing tables and ADA accessible.

    We celebrated my daughter’s 18th birthday at Dallas Event Center. It’s a Filipino tradition to celebrate a daughter’s 18th birthday, and one of the highlights is the waltz she taught. Lora is a fantastic dance instructor, and having her event space together with her dance expertise is the perfect combination.As an event manager, she made everything run smoothly — always calm, positive, and fully supportive. She truly went above and beyond to make the celebration special.I also appreciated that we could choose our own caterer (unlike other venues that require you to use theirs). The place itself is elegant, Victorian‑style, and beautifully maintained. There’s a kitchen, a second floor where guests can relax if the crowd gets overwhelming, and an upstairs room for getting ready.It’s the perfect venue for any special event. Thanks Lora for everything!

Yes, we charge a corkage fee of $12 per bottle for wine and liquor.
No, but there is ample free street parking. A encroachment permit can be filed with the city for $30 to reserve spaces if desired. We also have a back entrance for unloading if needed.

Events with over 100 people require event insurance.
