Schenley Ballroom

Elegant ballroom with soundproof airwalls transforms into intimate wedding spaces with built-in AV and pre-function space for a variety of events.

The room contains several soundproof airwalls giving the ability to breakdown the room into six smaller rooms, even during event days, with a 15-minute transition period. There is audio visual capability in the room with two recessed screens and projectors in its ceiling, use of both are included in the room rental fee as well as several ports around the room for plug-ins. A pre-hall encompasses the ballroom, ideal for cocktail receptions and food displays.

The Forbes Room is attached to our outdoor patio with the capability to hold between 80-100 guests at banquet rounds with options for more in a reception setting. The room features three large windows looking out onto our patio and a fixed marble-top island brings elegance to any buffet setup. A section of our patio is also roped off, offering exclusive access to guests wanting to enjoy the sunshine. This is one of our most popular spaces, with guests loving the natural light.

    Reception - Courtyard Pittsburgh University Center

    From our first meeting, Rachel and the team at Courtyard Pittsburgh University Center made us feel like our wedding was their top priority. Rachel met with us monthly leading up to the big day to work through every detail and make sure nothing was missed. The venue has plenty of space, which gave us room to host both our rehearsal dinner and reception without feeling cramped. On the day itself, the entire staff—from the bar to the servers—kept everything running smoothly and took great care of our guests. Everyone was attentive and genuinely invested in making our celebration special. We couldn't recommend this venue enough!

Yes, overnight hotel guest parking is available at the rate of $29 + 37.5% Pittsburgh Parking Tax for up to 24 hours with full in and out privileges.
Our starting rental fee includes the essentials needed to bring your celebration to life, including setup and breakdown, tables and chairs, china, flatware, glassware, and standard linens.
Yes! We frequently work with couples to create custom menus, and our chef is exceptional at tailoring selections to fit your vision, preferences, and style of celebration.
Yes! Couples are welcome to bring in any outside vendors, and non-food related vendors do not incur any additional fees. We also have a preferred vendor list of professionals we love working with, but you’re never limited to that list. The only exception is food-related vendors, which are subject to an outside food fee.
Yes! Couples are welcome to bring in their own wedding cake from the bakery of their choice.
Bar inclusions vary depending on the package you select, but our standard bar package includes liquor, beer, wine, soda, and bottled water. We’re happy to walk you through the available options and help you choose the package that best fits your celebration.
Complimentary white table linens and napkins are included with your wedding package. For couples looking to personalize their décor, upgraded linen and napkin colors are available for an additional fee.
Yes! A private getting ready space is included for the wedding party to use on the day of the celebration. Any food and beverages ordered for the room would be at the expense of the bridal party.
Yes! As a hotel venue, we’re happy to offer discounted guest room blocks for wedding guests. Room blocks are based on hotel availability and require a minimum of 10 guest rooms for one night to qualify. Our team would be happy to walk you through current availability and help you secure accommodations for your guests.
