Ruined Daughter's 21st Birthday

We made reservations at 7:15 on Friday for daughter's 21st birthday and it was seven people Including a 90-year-old grandmother. We did get there 20 minutes late as we had an issue in picking up the grandmother. We texted and advised ahead that we were running late. When we arrive, the host was extremely dismissive especially to my daughter. Could care less of the circumstances and said they cancelled the reservation and we could not a table the whole night because they were very busy. I understand that we were late, but we had an issue with my mother's medication that we had to go back and get. So we were stuck around 8 PM looking for a place to celebrate our daughter's 21st birthday on a Friday night to say the least our evening was ruined. Again, I understand we were late but we called and advised. I was even willing to pay for their time. We've been to this restaurant at least five times but now never again. Have a heart and some compassion.
