We could not be happier with our experience at Barn Swallow Farm! The venue is absolutely breathtaking, seamlessly combining rustic charm with top-tier amenities for guests. What impressed us most was how easy the staff made the setup and logistical planning, vendor coordination, and day of flow were handled with total professionalism. Our friends and family had an incredible time, and everything ran on schedule from start to finish. Highly recommend Barn Swallow Farm to anyone planning a wedding or special event in the area!

Our family recently celebrated our son and daughter-in-law’s baby shower at Barn Swallow Farm, and although the day itself was incredibly special to us, the experience with the venue under the new ownership was extremely disappointing. Our family has attended and hosted events at Barn Swallow Farm over the years, and we always knew it to be a warm, welcoming, and accommodating venue. The previous owners made families feel genuinely cared for, so we were very happy when our son and daughter-in-law chose to celebrate such an important milestone there. Unfortunately, this experience was nothing like what we had come to expect. There were several things throughout the day that were frustrating and, quite frankly, upsetting. One of the venue owners was rude in the way he spoke to my husband, which was completely unnecessary and unprofessional. When a family is spending the time, money, and effort to host such a meaningful celebration, the very least they should expect is to be treated with basic courtesy and respect. We were also extremely disappointed with how the decor setup was handled. Our son and daughter-in-law had a gorgeous backdrop created for the baby shower, and so much thought and effort had gone into making it a beautiful focal point for the event. Yet the decorator was told to set it up in a tight corner where it was barely visible and could not truly be appreciated by the guests. It was such a waste of something that was meant to be one of the most beautiful parts of the celebration, and it was frustrating that more consideration was not given to the overall setup of the event. Toward the end of the shower, things became even more uncomfortable. While guests were still eating, the owner began telling people to pick up their plates so the table runners could be removed. At that point, we hosts were only just getting our own plates after spending most of the event attending to our guests, as hosts typically do. Being told that we had to pick up the food and move along while we were finally trying to eat was incredibly upsetting and made us feel rushed and unwelcome. Around 5:20 p.m., I even insisted on paying for additional time so our family and guests could finish enjoying the celebration without being hurried. Kyle refused, saying that another event was scheduled. However, we had never been informed before the event that we would need to leave by that time or that another event was scheduled immediately afterward. If there was a strict end time and a quick turnover requirement, that should have been clearly communicated to us in advance—not brought up while our guests were still eating. The way this was handled made it seem as though the venue was more concerned with clearing the space and preparing for the next event than allowing our family and guests to enjoy the remaining time together. We understand that venues have schedules and responsibilities, but those expectations should be communicated beforehand and handled respectfully. As parents, it was upsetting to watch our son and daughter-in-law experience this on a day that should have been nothing but joyful. They put so much thought, effort, and money into creating a beautiful celebration for their family and friends, and they deserved to feel welcomed and taken care of—not rushed, dismissed, or inconvenienced. The property itself is still beautiful, but unfortunately, a beautiful venue does not make up for poor hospitality and unprofessional service. The change in ownership has clearly changed the experience, and in our opinion, not for the better. We truly hope this feedback is taken seriously because the way families and their guests are treated is what ultimately determines whether people will want to return or recommend a venue in the future.

2 star for the lack of professionalism. 5 star for the overall beauty of the venue We have hosted many events at this venue over the years and have always had exceptional experiences. The previous owners were truly some of the nicest, most accommodating people and always made you feel welcomed and taken care of. Unfortunately, this past Sundays event under the new ownership was a completely different experience. The service was very disappointing and, quite honestly, felt unprofessional. While guests were still eating, the owner was removing the table runners which created an uncomfortable and rushed feeling during what should have been a special celebration. It’s really unfortunate because we have always loved this venue and have recommended it to others without hesitation. The change in ownership has definitely changed the experience, and not for the better. The venue itself is absolutely gorgeous and has always been a favorite place to host events. I also understand that taking on a venue like this, especially as a young couple, is a huge undertaking, and I truly wish them the best in making it their own. My hope in sharing this is that they recognize how much the little things like hospitality, timing, and making guests feel welcomed can impact the overall experience. I would love to see this beautiful venue continue to be a place where people feel as special and welcomed as we have in the past.
