    10/10 would recommend Abbots Passage. Accomodating and friendly staff. Katherine Katsura was super helpful and really went above and beyond to make our celebration memorable and fun. The vineyard and surrounding grounds are stunning and it's easy to walk around. Overall a fantastic experience for us and our guests.

To reserve a date at Abbot’s Passage, a deposit equal to half the venue fee and a signed contract are required.
The rental rate includes exclusive use of the venue for your event. We also have 100 folding chairs, 8-72” round tables, 8-8’ banquet tables, two barrel bars, 3 barrel-top tables, two fire pits and two sets of patio lounge furniture, which are included in the site fee.
The venue rental is from 4-lOpm. Wedding Guests cannot access the venue any earlier than 4pm. The Wedding Party has access to the property for photos starting at 1pm. Access to the tasting room is only after business hours, starting at 7:30pm. Sonoma County has a noise ordinance, which requires that our events have a stop time of 10pm.
Rentals can be delivered as early as 7am.
Beginning at 2pm, the bridal party has access to the Garden Room.
Unfortunately, the Barrel Cellar is a working space, so we do not allow access for your wedding. We can, however, arrange for photos of the bride & groom to take place in the Barrel Cellar, accompanied by staff.
A one-hour ceremony rehearsal can be hosted the day prior to your wedding. All rehearsal times are subject to other events being hosted at the venue and must be scheduled with the events office. Guests of the rehearsal will not be allowed in the tasting room without reservations.
Yes, we do require a qualified, licensed wedding planner. The wedding planner may not be someone who is in the wedding party or attending the wedding as a guest. Please reference the list of our preferred professionals for recommendations.
Abbot’s Passage does not provide on-site catering. Sonoma and the surrounding area are filled with seasoned catering professionals with a depth of experience. All catering companies listed on our preferred professionals sheet have already been pre-approved and are very familiar with our property.
A deposit of half of the total venue fee is due one week after signing the contract. The remaining half will be due two months prior to the date of the event. The wine charges will be due 30 days prior to the date of the event.
The ceremony site can accommodate a tent, should you choose to rent one.
Yes! We encourage you to schedule a tasting with the events department leading up to your event so you can choose which wines you would like served at your wedding.
All wine will be provided by Abbot’s Passage. You are allowed to bring in beer and non-alcoholic beverages. If you would like to include a selection from Gundlach Bundschu Winery, we can facilitate that request. No liquor is permitted on premise for the event.
Yes! You are welcome to take photos anywhere on property for your wedding with the exception of the tasting room, olive grove and areas being used by the tasting public during business hours.
Yes. We're one of the few wine country wedding venues that allows food trucks.
We offer tiered rates based on the day of the week you select for your wedding.
Due to the risk of fires, we do not allow open flame smoking on property.
Our permits do not allow amplified, live music on our property.
There are no onsite accommodations, but the towns of Glen Ellen and Sonoma have many options for your guests and wedding party.
