About Wild West Collective
Wild West Collective
The Wild West Collective was born in 2019 after I moved to Cody, Wyoming and realized there was really no wedding infrastructure in the immediate area. I was a wedding photographer at the time and just had the intentions of offering some farm tables and cross back chairs. What started as 15 tables and 120 chairs has turned into close to $1M in rentals inventory and us offering planning & design services too. I strive to source beautiful and unique rentals, to price our rentals at affordable rates, and to create unique spaces. I'm a creative at heart and somehow turned my hobby into a full time job that I love!
The Wild West Collective is a design heavy firm. We care about all the details. We love combining colors, textures, and patterns to create memorable and welcoming spaces for our Clients and their guests. We really try to create fresh looks and will not create anything seen on pinterest. We also have a suite of planning tools to help keep both us and our clients on track!
In three words: Confident, Creative, Honest

Don’t work with her
Working with Wild West Collective was incredibly stressful from start to finish. The owner was difficult to deal with and made the planning process feel hostile rather than collaborative. Even though we signed a contract and estimate with a deposit upfront, she kept adding unexpected charges throughout our planning, which felt dishonest and left us frustrated. While the rentals themselves were beautiful and good quality, the experience was tainted by her unprofessional behavior. After the wedding, she bullied us for additional money (not a small amount) for “damages” and not doing “due diligence” without sending proof of any of her claims. She tracks when you open her emails and hounds you if you do not answer right away. We would not recommend this planner to other couples looking for a positive and trustworthy planning experience.
Kayleigh Rust•Oct 22, 2026So brave of you to post this anonymously, but I know exactly who this is because it’s the only time I’ve ever had to try to collect damages after a contract. I went out of my way to sub rent flooring from 4 hours away for a 40x80 tent for your wedding since you were determined on having it in an arena, instead of a grassy pasture, and we didn’t have enough in stock to floor the entire tent. I sent an email a couple months ahead saying we don’t set up in arenas without specialized equipment, which is what we have to rent every year to set up at the Cody rodeo. You begged for that location and I very specifically said that I would make an exception if your family who owned the property went out and pounded 42” pieces of rebar (the length of our stakes) into the ground along where the perimeter of where the tent would be to verify that metal could be pounded into to the ground without heavy machinery. Your family didn’t do that but promised they had no issue with getting the fence put in so it would be fine. Well it wasn’t fine… After spending an entire day laying 3,696 sqft of flooring for the tent, my team went back out to set up the tent and after spending several hours trying to get stakes in, and having your fence person come out to try doing it with his own heavy machinery, it was impossible to get stakes in around the entire perimeter of the tent. Against my better judgement, I allowed my team to move your tent to a grassy area on the property (where it should have gone to begin with so all of this could have been avoided) and they came back out for a THIRD day to do so. I was within my rights per our contract to refuse to do this but didn’t want to be the reason you had to have your wedding in an unprepped barn. Allowing my team to go back out was my second biggest mistake in this (first being allowing the arena location to begin with) because the amount of effort they expended drastically impacted our ability to perform for our biggest event that season in Bozeman that weekend. What I asked for from you post wedding is repayment for all the extra labor and fuel expenses needed to move the tent since your family lied and did not do the proper due diligence I had requested for the arena location. I sent DETAILED excel documents showing labor and fuel expenses. Your family ended up paying $3,000 of the over $5,000 submitted to them, which shows that they know they were in the wrong and took responsibility for at least part of what was owed to make me financially whole after all of this. As to adding unexpected expenses to your contract, I have no idea what you are talking about since every change to your contract was something you requested and then signed for. Never once did I email you out of nowhere requesting extra money for random things - nor have I ever done that to any client. That why we have a contract in place. I also never worked with you in any planning capacity. This was strictly a rentals contract.

Moody summer wedding dreams came true!
We live in Nashville, TN and had our hearts set on a destination wedding in WY. I quickly realized once we finalized our date that there was no way I was going to be able to make it all happen on my own. Thankfully my sister found Wild West Collective!!! Not only did Kayleigh and her team provide planning, design, rentals and day-of setup and coordination, but she truly was a lifeline for me over the almost 18 months of planning a wedding remotely. She answered all of my anxious texts, took multiple zoom calls with me so she was always in the loop, recommended a florist and even went and stayed at our venue long before the wedding so she could get a feel for the surroundings. I really can't express how much it meant to have her make our special day come to life with her creativity and efficiency. It was all so stunning and it was the best day of our lives! We are so thankful. Can't wait to plan a vow renewal. ;)

A Perfect Day thanks to WWC!
Wow!! Words cannot describe how wonderful it was to work with Wild West and Kayleigh! We found them after searching for more modern furniture that would fit our aesthetic for our Jackson hole wedding and wow did they deliver above and beyond that every wish we had Kaley met over and over again! We even added a guest last minute as a surprise, and two hours before the wedding started she adjusted everything to fit them. Her skills are everything you need when planning a wedding- she’s organized, she has an eye for design, and she will tell you what will work and what won’t work! On the day of, she reads the room and ensures all goes smoothly. I can truly say our day was perfect because of her.

Cody, WY Wedding
Wild West Collective handled rentals, design, and day of coordination for my wedding at my in-laws’ ranch on 08/02/2025. They went above and beyond to make sure everything matched the vision I wanted! I was able to communicate whenever I needed. I never once felt overwhelmed on the big day and was able to enjoy every minute. Everything came together so beautifully!
Kayleigh Rust•Aug 9, 2025It was so wonderful working with you Monica! We loved everything about your vision and were just super happy to bring it to life for you!

Kayleigh makes the day!
We came to Kayleigh with a wild idea for our backyard wedding and oh boy did she and her team make it happen. She's such a great mix of creative and logistics: knowing how to pull off everything from our non-traditional color scheme to figuring out how to get a 200-person tent across state lines. We have no plans to have another wedding but we'll be hitting Kayleigh and company up for our 10 year vow renewal.
Kayleigh Rust•Jul 9, 2025A 10 year vow renewal?! Say less 💅
