Established in 2019, Up North Events is a wedding planning company in Northern Michigan. We work with all kinds of couples who have one thing in common: they want their wedding day to be meaningful, genuine, relaxed, and FUN. We like to discover the small details that make your celebration unique to you - little bits of your family history, special cultural traditions, and other personal touches. We believe in true love with open hearts and open minds.

We enjoy getting to know you as a couple and chatting about what brought you together and what brings you to Northern Michigan for your wedding. We are super friendly, but also very professional. We have a specific process for each of our packages and will guide you every step of the way! On your wedding day, we are focused and our attention to detail really shines. We prefer to remain behind-the-scenes while directing your vendor team and pulling everything together, making the event look effortless from the guest perspective.

Description	Our wedding planning package is a comprehensive service designed to lead you through all the stages of planning your wedding, from A to Z.	Also known as our Coordination & Consulting package, you get to take advantage of asking us unlimited questions, pick our brains for advice, and consult with us via e-mail from the time you reserve with us and much more!	Commonly called day-of coordination, this package features high involvement the week of your wedding, with most prior contact limited to gathering and organizing your wedding information. If you are comfortable with planning, but don’t want to be the one in charge on your wedding day, this package is for you.	Our A La Carte services include decorating, teardown, and help with wedding weekend events!

Best. Day. Ever!
We cannot say enough wonderful things about Jenna and her Up North Events team!! We are so thankful for her phenomenal work as the partial wedding planner for our Traverse City wedding at a private home. Even before she stepped in at the three-month mark, she was crucial to our success in picking great vendors and answering every big and small question we had. Once she stepped in, it was like having a close friend and the best boss take over all the final logistics. She was organized, responsive, incredibly detail-oriented, and always one step ahead. It truly was a weight off our shoulders going into the wedding day. Planning a wedding at a private home involved so many moving pieces, but Jenna made everything feel much easier. On the day itself, she made the coordination and timing perfect. She went above and beyond to make the day the best day ever. She handled challenging and ever changing weather complications perfectly, without adding any additional stress to me. This wasn’t a small task, as we had gale-force winds for an outdoor ceremony and a tented reception. Everyone in the wedding party and family could simply enjoy the day without worry. I am so thankful. Additionally, she and her team organizing everything at the end of the night took so much work (and worry) off our hands. I truly cannot put into words how grateful I am for everything. I could not imagine our perfect wedding day without them!

Up North Events Best wedding planners EVER!
Working with Up North Events was hands down the best decision we made for our wedding. Jenna and her team were responsive and quick to answer every question we had, which made the planning process smooth and stress free. What really stood out was how much work they did behind the scenes. We honestly didn't realize everything they were handling until the day of. They thought of every detail so our family could relax and enjoy the celebration as much as we did. Jenna exceeded our expectations in every way, and her attention to detail made our day absolutely perfect. We can't thank Up North Events enough for making our wedding everything we dreamed it would be!

Best day ever!

BEST DECISION EVER!!
I can't explain how happy I am that I hired Jenna and Up North Events! This team really took the lead and made sure our wedding day was flawless. We had lots of set up and timeline instructions and Jenna nailed it. Her team made sure everything and everyone was where they needed to be. They handled every detail with care and were a calm presence throughout the day. They also broke-down everything at the end of the night so we could enjoy our the time with our friends and family at the after party. The next day we arrived at our venue to find everything perfectly packed up and very organized! My only regret is that I didn't hire her for full planning services!
