Wedding Planner

Scarlett James Wedding and Event Planning is all about helping couples take the stress out of planning their big day. I will handle as little or as much as the couple needs, from just consulting to completely planning their whole wedding. I have a few packages that I will charge a flat rate for, or I will perform any of the services individually for an hourly rate.

Unlike most wedding planners, I have an accounting degree so I can help manage your budget and keep you on track. I also have a Certification in wedding planning from the New York Institute of Art and Design.

    Superhero’s!

    Airica and Ava were so incredible! I cannot say enough good things about their attentiveness and ability to make my wedding day completely flawless. They were putting out fires left and right all day and I was none the wiser, they kept my head in the clouds giving me the best day of my life while keeping the train on the tracks behind the scenes. Airica was my go to girl through planning and my super hero the big weekend!

    Seriously Amazing!

    Sorry this review is so late, I thought I had already wrote it! She did an AMAZING job. I utilized the day-of coordination service and while I made have had my own timeline and she did amazing to follow it, she made sure my new husband and I had 15 minutes just to ourselves, got us some appetizers and wine, and left us to ourselves to soak it all in. We are still so grateful for it to this day. Everythinf was so smooth and I appreciated the effort and help she gave along the way! 1000/10 would recommend again.

    The best!

    Airica is the best at what she does! She is serious about her job and plays no games. I loved that about her. She’s very professional. I would hire her over and over again!

    This coordinator has it ALL! Personality, professionalism and amazing at what she does. She will ensure your day is smooth and all that you want in your wedding. Does not miss a detail. She made my day 10x better as a photographer.

My name is Airica Sumpter, and I am the owner operator of Scarlett James. For large weddings I may hire an assistant but for smaller or average sized weddings you will be working solely with me.
I can help you with as little or as much as you want. I can perform any service for an hourly fee of $50 per hour or you can get these services in a flat rate package. Most brides usually spend around $2000.
No, I will only have one wedding per weekend so you will get me focused only on your needs.
The short answer is no I do not. Typically when I am planning a wedding the couple will choose to hire a decorator. If the couple does not hire a decorator I will help with set up and take down but I would need aid from family volunteers to complete the projects.
