Summit Photo and Film

Summit Photo and Film is based in Aspen and works throughout the mountains and beyond. We photograph and film weddings the way they actually happen — the gap between the ceremony and the toasts, the wind coming off the peaks during portraits, the guests who wander outside to check the light. Most of our work happens at elevation, so we know how afternoon storms roll in, how alpine light shifts fast, and how a timeline holds up when the shuttle is late. We care about pacing and timing more than posing. Our goal is a set of photos and films that feel like the day you remember, not a version staged for the camera.

We shoot in these mountains constantly, so we're reading the day before it happens — where the sun will land at 6pm, which overlook is worth the extra ten minutes, when to step back and let a moment run. Photo and film work together on-site rather than competing for the same shot, and we plan around real conditions: altitude, weather, remote venues, guests who aren't used to thin air. We don't oversell drama or lean on the same handful of poses every couple gets. What you get is someone who has done this here enough times to stay calm when the schedule slips, and to notice the small, specific things that actually made the day yours.
