About Pathfinder Photography

Pathfinder Photography

Hi! I’m Ellie, an elopement and wedding photographer based out of Breckenridge. I’ve hiked all over the mountains of Colorado and I’m ready to help you plan your perfect adventure! Whether you’re holding each other in a sun-soaked field of wildflowers or saying “I do” beneath towering peaks on the shores of an alpine lake, your elopement should be as beautiful and serene as the Rocky Mountains themselves.

Here’s my secret advantage: If you’re planning to elope in the mountains, I’m already up here! I’ve spent years exploring every corner of the state and I’m about as familiar with each of the ski towns as a person can get. I’ve lived in Winter Park, Vail, and Breckenridge, been to all four National Parks, and I grew up hiking around Estes Park, the Peak to Peak Highway, and Crested Butte. I have dozens of locations all over the state just waiting for the perfect couple to choose them.

    Elopement

We’re so happy we had Ellie capture our elopement day out in nature on a beautiful mountain pass! It just felt easy and natural having her there. She made the morning so relaxed and fun, and the photos turned out absolutely beautiful, exactly how we will remember it. We couldn’t have asked for anyone better to document our wedding day

    Easy and Relaxed!

I'm a nervous picture taker but she was very relaxed which helped me, the pictures were fun and spontaneous. I think great care was taken to make sure the background was framing the picture well. Very well organized. Great pictures!

While the prices of the larger packages may vary based on number of hours and locations, there will never be any surprise travel fees for any locations in Colorado. Outside these boundaries, additional travel fees will apply.
I always see people posting their styles- dark and moody, light and airy, coconut cream, LA vibes. My style is to capture what's real. If it's cloudy, your photos may have a misty, moody tone to them. If it's sunny, your photos will be bright and vibrant. I don't edit my photos to look like an Instagram filter. I edit them to bring them back to how they looked through my eyes. True to color, and true to the moment.
Here's my secret advantage: If you're planning to elope in the mountains, I'm already up here! Believe it or not, 90% of my clients have said that exact thing to me! Here's a little secret: I'm the same way. I'm much more comfortable behind the camera than in front of it, so I totally understand how you feel. I will do my absolute best to make you feel comfortable in front of the lens. For portraits, I have no trouble guiding you through poses that will feel natural. To get the best candid photos, the best approach is honestly just to pretend like I'm not there!
I get that you want to share your happy day with your friends and family as soon as possible, especially if they weren't there. I promise to deliver 20 sneak peak photos within 48 hours so you have something to share, and the rest will follow within 6-10 weeks depending on your package. I don't promise a certain number of finished photos, but I also don't charge for extras. I try to deliver between 70-100 photos per hour of coverage, but rest assured I will do everything I can to ensure you have more than enough memories of your special day!
This is Colorado. If you're not from here, you should be aware that there's a popular saying in the mountains: If you don't like the weather, wait ten minutes. Colorado is notorious for its afternoon thunderstorms, especially in the summer, but the good news is that they always pass through quickly. I've seen dozens of weddings delayed- and dozens of mothers-of-the-bride freaking out! Guess what? The wedding starts twenty minutes late and everyone forgets about the trouble when they get a surprise rainbow over their ceremony!
