About Misty Nolan Photography

Misty Nolan

Wedding Photographer

I have a journalistic approach to wedding days but I'm also there to help pose you, make you comfortable and guide you along! My end goal as your wedding photographer is, and will always be, giving you images of your special day in a quirky, honest, and emotional way. I love to catch the small moments that go by too quickly between all of the BIG moments that your heart will never forget!

I really love that I make friends with my clients, I get to know you and I'm not someone that you'll just see one day. I love to tell your story, uniquely, to who you are and what is YOU. I know some couples are more into PDA than others, some feel awkward and I like to geek it out with you, and others are really chill and I dig that vibe, too! I guess what I'm saying is I truly enjoy the variety of couples I get to meet and make friends with! I cannot wait to hear about you and your story!!

Best choice I made for my big day!

Where do I even start to describe Misty Nolan and our experience with her as our wedding photographer! My partner and I met and instantly connected with her. She was funny, kind, and so incredibly passionate about photography. She answered all our questions and put us at ease about everything. She made us feel comfortable and like we were friends. She was in regular contact with us throughout the wedding planning process and always voiced how excited she was for us and our big day. On our actual wedding day she went completely above and beyond to be there for us making adjustments last minute without hesitation to ease our schedule. She made us and both our wedding parties laugh many times over. My partner and I really wanted someone to capture who we were in a natural and candid way and Misty did just that! We are absolutely in love with our wedding photos. She captured our day in a whimsical and romantic fashion. Everything was green and lush and our photos are filled with joy. I don't know how she it but on our big day she was everywhere at once! My now wife and I say all the time booking Misty Nolan for our wedding was our best and easiest wedding decision.

Typically, couples book me about 6-13 months before their wedding date. I encourage you to reach out as soon as possible about my availability, even if you’re planning on a shorter time frame.
Yes, there are always options for an assistant photographer.
Definitely. All final images will be edited for color, saturation, exposure, and sharpness to ensure they look beautiful. I am happy to provide full wedding galleries for review so that you can see the consistent quality and editing throughout wedding galleries!
No, I prefer focusing on photography only, so you can get the best wedding pictures possible.
My turnaround time varies by season. Typically, you’ll be able to view your photos online about 4-6 weeks after your wedding. Within this time, I also post sneak peeks and a blog to view and share with your loved ones!
You can expect about 45-60 images per hour of photographing. But keep in mind this estimate varies depending on your wedding package, number of guests, venue type, and other factors.
In my 10 years of experience as a wedding photographer, I’ve never cancelled a booking. In the very rare event that I’m unable to photograph your wedding, I’ll make sure you’re covered by one of my colleagues. I’ll also provide you with a list of photographers from the many networking groups I’m in, so you can find the perfect replacement if you're not happy with my colleague (and my editing).
