I’m a Michigan wedding photographer who believes your wedding photos should feel like you, not a collection of poses you were told to recreate. I’ll guide you when you need direction, step back when a moment deserves to unfold naturally, and help keep things moving when the day inevitably does something you didn’t plan for. My goal is to create photographs that are beautiful enough to frame, but honest enough to bring you right back to how it felt to be there. Basically, I’m your photographer, calm presence, timeline helper, and hype girl all in one.

I care just as much about how you feel in front of my camera as I do about how the final images look. If you’re worried about feeling awkward or not knowing how to pose, I’ve got you. I’ll give you enough direction to feel confident without turning your wedding day into a production. I’m also there to help with timelines, lighting, family photos, and all the little things that make the day run smoothly. You get beautiful portraits, genuine moments, and a photographer who is truly in your corner.

    Just the Best!

    Michelle was just the best, she was the photographer at our wedding in Grand Rapids, MI which had events both at the Amway Grand Plaza and Frederik Meijer Gardens, she was so fantastic at both locations and made us feel so comfortable. We loved her personality and she fit right in with our families, so friendly and engaging! We did an engagement shoot at our venue which was so great to scope out good spots for wedding photos. For the wedding week, we had a haldi ceremony in my family’s backyard, a sangeet/reception, and a Hindu ceremony and American ceremony/reception all over the course of 3 days! She was so flexible and easy to work with in all those locations and her package was able to be individualized for exactly what we needed. And the photos she delivered were just perfect, we did make our own wedding album but it only turned out so beautifully because of her wonderful work. Could not recommend her enough!! She is perfect for any Michigan wedding needs or beyond as her business expands. You’ll be in the best hands.

Absolutely. You never need to know how to pose before working with me. I’ll give you clear, natural direction so you feel confident and comfortable, while still leaving plenty of room for the real moments to happen.
Yes! The planned portraits are only part of your story. I’m constantly watching for the in-between moments, the reactions, the hugs, the happy tears, the ridiculous dance moves, and the little things you may not even notice happening.
I recommend reaching out as soon as you have your date and venue secured. Popular dates can book well in advance, especially during Michigan’s peak wedding season. That said, it never hurts to ask about your date!
Absolutely! Depending on your wedding and collection, I offer associate photographers, second photographers, and even third photographers. Associates allow us to photograph more weddings while maintaining the Michelle Lippert Photography experience, while additional photographers give us more coverage and perspectives throughout your day. Whether it’s getting ready in two locations, capturing cocktail hour while we’re photographing portraits, or documenting a larger celebration, the extra coverage means fewer moments have to be missed. I carefully select my team and personally oversee the planning and editing of every gallery.
Yes! Every final image delivered through Michelle Lippert Photography is personally edited by me. Whether I photograph your wedding myself or you work with one of my associate photographers, I personally review and edit your images so your gallery has the consistent look, color, and attention to detail you expect from my work. Your photographer captures the moments, and I make sure the finished gallery feels cohesive from beginning to end.
You won’t have to wait long! I typically send a sneak peek within a few days of your wedding, so you’ll have a handful of favorites to relive and share while everything is still fresh. Your full wedding gallery is delivered within 3 months. I take the time to carefully review and edit every image so your final gallery feels cohesive, polished, and completely worth the wait.
