Scott Metzger

Metzger Studios was founded by Boston Wedding Photographer I specialize in wedding photography throughout New England. I am known for my photojournalistic style and artistic eye. I combine a documentary-style approach with an artistic vision to provide clients with a beautifully illustrated narrative of their wedding day. I pride myself on being unobtrusive without missing an opportunity to capture the special moments that truly define your wedding. Metzger Studios goes above and beyond to capture your event from beginning to end with precision and elegance without ever sacrificing the intimacy of your special day.

The most important thing I’ve learned over my 20 years as a wedding photographer is that you can’t do this job if you are not passionate about it. One of my strengths as a wedding photographer is my ability to adapt to any situation that is presented to me.

Description

I am confident we can create a package that works with your needs and budget. It is hard to give you an exact number without knowing all the specifics, depending on the time of year, how many hours, and the types of albums you choose. I will honor a 15% discount on all products for off-season and non-Saturday weddings. In addition to the base package, I offer several different sizes of you can include in your package at an additional cost:

Best Wedding Photographer
From our first conversation with Scott, we knew we had found the right fit for our wedding day. He listened to what we wanted and communicated the photography timeline in a way that was easy to understand and stress-free. The photos are elegant, dynamic, and beautiful with a modern style that really captures the feeling of the moment. He focused on the emotion of the event and nailed the energy on the dance floor(those shots are some of our favorites). We'd recommend him without hesitation to any couple looking for a photographer who cares about doing it right.

Community Couldn’t Stop Complimenting the Photos!
We came across Scott Metzger’s portfolio online and immediately loved his creativity. His photos were not only stunning and professional, but they also had personality and humor that genuinely made us smile. That unique blend is what made Scott stand out to us — and now that we’re on the other side of our wedding, we are so happy with our choice. From the very beginning, Scott was communicative, responsive, and professional. From our initial video call through the entire process, he was quick to respond to emails and always made us feel informed and supported. During our first meeting, he walked us through his equipment, explained exactly what his packages included, and even showed us additional offerings like photo albums in a way that felt natural and never pushy or awkward. His professionalism gave us confidence right away. Whenever we had specific needs or requests, we felt completely comfortable bringing them up. Scott was always cordial, adaptable, and genuinely willing to work with us to make sure we felt cared for throughout the process. On the wedding day itself, Scott made the entire photoshoot experience enjoyable and comfortable. We absolutely loved the way he captured our story in writing. On top of that, the preview photos he shared with us truly took our breath away. He turned around the blog and first round of edited photos so quickly that we were honestly shocked. Our family, friends, and community absolutely loved the photos and showered us with compliments. Like many couples, we experienced a bit of post-wedding blues and thought back on a few missed opportunities. Because Scott created such a strong line of communication and trust with us, we felt comfortable sharing some honest feedback — not to complain, but simply to be transparent as clients. Scott received our feedback with so much grace and understanding. He truly listened, empathized with where we were coming from, and was willing to take action steps to address our concerns. Great experience
Scott was great from our first experience- he was very timely in his responses and was flexible with preference of communication, Zola messenger when needed, email and call when requested. He was willing to work with the budget we had set and what services he could provide within that budget. He set expectations appropriately for the timeline of services, payments and contract and answered any questions we had. Come wedding day, he made sure to hype me up where needed and helped me feel comfortable with the process (I am someone who prefers to take direction vs come up with things myself when it comes to pictures). I was also able to provide important key moments to him (wanting to get ready with my daughter, pic with my husband's grandparents, etc) and he rose to every occasion. I received feedback from my groom and several other people that they loved the photographer and felt he did great work. I agree, and would definitely refer Scott to any friend looking for a photographer

A true artist and professional
Scott was an amazing photographer! He was positive and upbeat the whole day, remaining calm even when the schedule was disrupted. His photos were gorgeous, and he was extremely respectful of our values and desires throughout the process— he took care to really capture both the sacredness of the wedding mass and the absolute blast that was the reception. Plus, he was reasonably priced and came with the venue’s (Butternut Farm Golf Club) package. Our family and friends are raving about the incredible pictures. Thank you Scott!!!

Amazing Experience!
Thank you Scott for our engagement shoot! Planning and communication was super fast/ efficient, which was greatly appreciated during the busy planning process. He made us feel totally at ease in front of the camera and gave great direction. The final pictures are beautiful! We highly recommend Scott to anyone looking for a seamless photography experience!
