About Lindsay Stayton Photography LLC
Lindsay Stayton
Lindsay Stayton began her career in the photography industry in 2008. Her first gig was photographing The Worlds Largest Music Festival, Summerfest. In 2010, Lindsay was asked to photographed her first wedding after a couple stated "If you can photograph Flava Flave, then you can most definitely photograph our wedding!" Most couples have requested Lindsay to continue capturing life’s candid moments for their growing families, which led to her tag line: “Your Family Historian”. Lindsay has a distinct and unique style which captures real human emotion and candid moments.
During your wedding, I am your paparazzi (without all the annoying cat calls and flash). I am there to capture your natural moments and provide prompts and suggestions when needed. That way, you get to see the little moments and subtleties that are usually missed. My experience being part of weddings has gone back over ten years (boy, it has gone by in a flash). From assisting wedding planning in Chicago, to opening up Anodyne Coffee Roasting Company's event and wedding venue in Downtown Milwaukee, I have seen it all.

It’s honestly hard to capture in words just how incredible Lindsay is—not only as a photographer, but as a person. From the moment we first connected with her, it was clear she didn’t just see her role as “taking pictures.” She understood what our day was truly about: love, connection, and community. That perspective came through in every single interaction and every single image. When we were prioritizing our wedding budget, we knew photography would be at the very top. We decided to skip a videographer and planner and crossed our fingers that the photos would tell our story in the way we dreamed. Choosing Lindsay was without a doubt the best decision we could have made. Her talent, dedication, and passion shine through in a way that makes it clear she should never be considered “just another vendor.” She is a true artist, and worth every single penny. One of the biggest reasons we chose Lindsay was the diversity of couples she showcased in her portfolio. It meant so much to see ourselves reflected in her work, and it reassured us that she could capture the beauty, uniqueness, and authenticity of every couple’s love story. From start to finish, Lindsay gave us everything we could have asked for and then more. She guided us through engagement photos that were stunning and full of personality, and then on our wedding day, she showed up prepared, energized, and completely present. She not only took photos—she kept the day flowing. She helped us plan the timing of the schedule, moved groups seamlessly for portraits, and brought a sense of calm and confidence that allowed us to simply enjoy being in the moment. She even connected us with other vendors, showing how much she genuinely cares about her couples’ experiences beyond just the photos. And the photos themselves? Breathtaking. They are stunning, timeless, endearing, and true to the moment. She captured the big, emotional highlights of the day while also finding those in-between moments we didn’t even realize were happening—moments that make the memories so much richer. Our family and friends have been floored, with so many saying things like, “I never thought I could look that good in a picture” or “I can’t believe she managed to capture me actually smiling!” Lindsay has a gift for seeing people as they are and reflecting back their truest, most joyful selves. Looking through our gallery felt like reliving the day in the most beautiful way possible. These are the images we will share with family for years to come. Lindsay didn’t just document our wedding—she became part of the story, and the photos she gave us are part of our family history now. That’s why we know we’ll be returning to her for all of our future photography needs. Professional, fun, and incredibly competent, Lindsay absolutely nailed it with our wedding photos. Would hire again, though planning on staying married for the moment.

Lindsay is exactly what we were looking for when selecting a photographer to capture our special day. My husband and I did not want a traditional wedding. We are quirky in nature and do not like staged photography...or photography of ourselves. You can only imagine the tall order we had for Lindsay....but she completely understood us. We felt at home with her during the planning stages and on the day of the wedding. She captured the BEST candid shots of us..in our true state...and we loved it. We loved every minute of it. She also kept our bridal party and demanding family guests inline....which is a battle all on its own! 100/10 WOULD ABSOLUTELY RECOMMEND HER!!

Lindsay was our photographer for our recent wedding and she was a delight to work with throughout the process! Not only was she fun to get to know but she helped us think through all aspects of the day and to stay on track. From the beginning of the planning process, she was focused on getting to know us and what we wanted out of our photos. Even though we aren't used to being photographed, she put us at ease and made the whole process fun! Her photos were excellent! She captured candid moments, romantic moments, and everything in between! You are in good hands with Lindsay and can be confident that in the end, you will end up with some absolutely gorgeous photos!
