I’m an Iowa based wedding and portrait photographer on a mission to capture joyful personalities + the moments where you just can’t stop smiling. I love rural Iowa, dessert for breakfast, outdoor adventures, and I’m a total homebody. Most of the time I can be found in jeans and a t-shirt with no makeup on, with my Golden Retriever, discovering the best rural Iowa has to offer. My style is timeless and true-to-life. I don’t use trendy filters or heavy editing techniques. I believe your photos should be a representation of who you really are, the life you live, and who you love spending it with.

When you hire me as your wedding photographer, you’re not just getting someone who shows up on your wedding day with a camera and a bunch of equipment. I want to be there to guide you through the entire process - from your engagement session to your wedding day, and afterwards turning your images into keepsakes. I help my couples kick off the planning process with an in-depth guide about all things wedding + engagement photography. I take on a small number of weddings each year because I want to make sure I have time to get to know each couple I work with, and help make sure their day is going to be as stress-free as possible.

That's why I offer all-day coverage on your wedding day. I’m there every step of the way to help plan and make sure your wedding day is as stress-free as possible.

    As a fellow vendor working beside Katie (me on video, her on photo) on someone's big day, she is all you could ask for when working in conjunction with someone on a wedding day. She was friendly and completely respectful of the work I needed to do, even though we had to work at the same time and in the same spaces. She was open to communicating about our needs and overall contributed positivity to the process. Photo and Video do not always team up effortlessly and thankfully Katie made it easy to do so! As someone who got to watch Katie at work, she really made an effort to make sure her shots were going to be beautiful (moving things around, finding the right lighting, etc). She was also so supportive and really hyped the couple up throughout the whole day, not only making them comfortable, but confident. I 100% enjoyed working with Katie and hope to do so again!
